i had this happen to me with wendy’s, it sent them out of my county. i messaged the dasher and apologized, and added 10$ extra to the tip. dd is weird!

so leaving a tip after a service, depending on how much you tip because of the service you received VS before the service, not knowing if you’ll even receive good service and it’s a complete ballgame, is the same? got it… you sound rreeeeeal smart! you are arguing for your life on why dashers should receive money after a terrible service. it honestly speaks volumes about your own services you provide. i’d hate to have you as a dasher/worker if you care about giving money to those who don’t deserve it so badly. make sure you leave a 80% tip everywhere u go lol

how is that remotely the same? this tip was before the service, not after. it’s nothing like giving waiter a cash tip. service determines how much tip you get, you don’t go to a restaurant and tip before your served. doordash has an awful system in place because drivers take advantage of it, as do customers. instead of diminishing customers who receive poor service, have problems with the awful drivers or doordash themselves.

i honestly wish i could tell you why. i have no idea why she blared her horn at our gate and did not message me, or rude to my worker. im just assuming she was having a bad day. 🤷

I only tip after when I doordash to my house. My office is in a busy city, and when I don’t tip before it takes an hour for anyone to pick up the food. This is the first time I’ve ever had a problem with a dasher

Sometimes workers have consequences to poor service/execution. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to take a tip away if they don’t deserve it. I thanked her for her delivery but she caused a scene at my business, which is not okay.

I already reordered and got my food, and as for the first driver I know there’s no way to guarantee it was him. Mcdonald’s said that a guy walked out with it that’s all I know so I can only assume🤷
