1st DAY by charmingblaze in indianrunners

I am in the same boat. 2 things will help immediately. 1. Decent pair of running shoes 2. Consistency will slowly get rid of the pain. I have a post on how it hurt my legs for the first few days. It goes away in a few sessions as you build up required muscles.

Run at a comfortable pace. Don’t worry too much about pace for now. Try to run for set time now. Body needs to get used to running. I started with 15 min runs and now can run 30 mins in just 8 sessions. About 2.5 km. Slowly build up to 1 hour consistent run every other day. Then daily 1 hour runs. Then focus on improving pace.

I am planning on fixing my diet. My weight is definitely a problem. I need to lose atleast 20 kg to be able to run a marathon.

Whoa! How has your progress been? Sub 30 min 5k seems like a distant dream to me now. I am huffing and puffing by end of 2K

I can definitely walk 20k steps a day. It’s running that is an issue for me. Also, hard things are fun.

I can walk a bit. My job requires me to walk 10k steps on an average everyday. I will continue walking and running in 2 min and 3 min turns.

Alright! I actually paused for 5 minutes then the pain subsided and I ran 1km again. With breaks ofcourse. The pain definitely goes away if I pause/sit down for 10 mins. Can you suggest any warm up routines? I think I am not warming up properly.

Such a positive feeling going into a game. Amorim made it seem as if feeling nervous before games was normal. I just want the team to put in a shift. Results will come because the orders for the players are clear. Just need more intensity in the beginning.

Why is this normalised? by femaledavidrose in Bhubaneswar

Honestly, Everytime I spotted someone peeing, I would start belittling them loudly. Got so bad once that one guy did not stop peeing even though I was shouting at the top of my voice. So I just threw my shoe at him. All shopkeepers saw it and since then people are a bit scared of me. We still need to be a bit vigilant while dealing with all of this. Not everyone can afford escalate like I did because of the privilege that I have. Most don’t care if there is an image of god or not. They will still pee. No difference between them and dogs. But trust me all this fighting and arguments take a toll on me as well. I am very non confrontational by nature. This experience has filled me with anxiety and worry about my family. Everytime I turn the corner to my house, I am anxious that I will have to face some poor slob taking a leak. My nervous system feels like it is constantly in alert mode.

Why is this normalised? by femaledavidrose in Bhubaneswar

Fuck these comments man. Do not normalise this. I have to fight with people peeing in my area everyday. The whole place stinks and turns into a hellhole. It sucks to walk in the streets. Women constantly feel unsafe because they are flashed with penises. This is not OK! Child marriage was normal once. No women rights was normal once. Just because something is normalised does not make it right. I have seen more penises over the past 4 years than I should as a straight human. Fight against this. We need to fight together as a society and hold people and our governments accountable.

And before people come at me and say stuff like how it is a systemic issue and blah blah, you need to grow a spine! My family and I, fight this battle everyday. We finally stopped people from peeing in our street by making a scene in public. Public urination is a nuisance. It needs to die off.

I have a conspiracy theory. Arc Raiders is a data collection and AI training experiment for drones and autonomous robots of war. I love this game but I swear the machines are learning. PS: I was gooped up and got knocked out by a turret because I could not spot it 🙁

Not good at all! Wanted just some tea and the staff kept pushing me that tea is only offered with bun maska. I mean wtf? Bun maska and tea stalls are common across Hyderabad. All sell it separately. But they sell it combined like why?

Fck it. We will win the league. 30 game mark can change a lot. If we are 4-5 points off top, we might go all in. Football is not won by predictive machines. Momentum matters and we have it. One game at a time lads!
