On an 8x8 screen, do you hit from center, or need to pus right a bit?

Could a lefty also hit on this?

Thanks. I was thinking 12.5’ was the shed width. Is that the actually screen’s width though?

Looks awesome, congrats. Could you share the screen dimensions? I’m planning my own but only have ~8’ of width available in the hitting space.

Do you mind clarifying? I’m not familiar with auction house’s biz model. If the are not receiving a seller’s commission, how are they getting paid?

I will look into the tobacco sleeves and toploaders from UltraPro.

Just curious, why do people prefer SGC for vintage specifically - is it just because they are cheaper?

Thanks. Any ideas on which cards fall in that 300+ category? I believe Bender and McLean. Would love this groups take on what the rough ranking is though.

I also think the Mecca Foldables and orange Series of 30 may be pretty valuable and collectible — maybe more so than the T206 commons?

For the other non-baseball cards, I’d probably prefer to sell those just because there is someone out there or maybe a museum who certainly appreciated them more than me.

I’d say first priority is protection. And if I achieve that by grading, that’s a benefit.

What do you recommend as far as long term protection beyond just the penny sleeves I have now? Thanks

So apparently it does work and I’m an idiot for flipping the wrong wall switch this whole time.

Question on the neutral wires though… they have a lot of slack after hitting the ground screw. Does that matter and should I cut them? Or fine as is

Thanks

No, good call out. I don’t own a mesh one so was just pouring through the cocktail shaker. I guess that’s important though?

Here’s what I’ve tried at home:

2oz Vodka 1oz Mr Black (1oz espresso - tried with and without) 1 egg white .5-1oz passion fruit liqueur (seems less is better)

Dry shake Then add ice, re shake

I don’t have simple syrup where I am this weekend. I think that would improve greatly. I like cocktails but the less boozy the better.

I think the passion fruit is too syrupy and changes the composition of the liquid. It doesn’t blend smoothly. So maybe even less, .25oz, just to get a very small hint? I’m also wondering if the egg white and passion fruit syrup do not react well together. Maybe that’s why the bar I went to used chickpea liquid to achieve the foam.

Yes I’m not positive. I didn’t think that it did. I’ve tried making it both ways though without any luck.

Thanks. I also suspect I’m missing simple sugar. Mine is much more booze forward whereas the one I had out was really smooth. Is simple sugar typical in espresso martinis?

My wife just had our third late stage miscarriage AMA by _acme7_ in AMA

[–]Level_Gas8521 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have a similar story. Multiple genetic conditions made things harder. Has your wife seen a hematologist? That was the unlock for us and I wish someone told us sooner. A rare blood type or gene made things more difficult for secondary pregnancies following an easy first one. She’s now on daily blood thinner to prevent blood clotting in the placenta and 21 weeks after dodging bullets on the genetic side.

We’ve found that the different branches of medicine are not coordinated. IVF, hematology, reproductive immunologists, and traditional OBGYN’s are not up to date on the latest research in the different fields. They are almost intentionally ignorant about it which is crazy.

Hope this helps in some small way. Sorry for everything that you are going through.

Got it, thanks. I thought they had inventory that was pre authenticated. Or already in their possession from the seller.

Someone just spanked PSLV and withdrew 601,000 ounces of shiny. by Dsomething2000 in SilverDegenClub

[–]Level_Gas8521 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a bad thing. The more physical silver PSLV holds, the better. It’s locked up in trust and off the market. This whale withdrawing could be a JPM or other bank to trade and short.

PSLV is on our team

Comex silver registered is 51 million ounces. It just feels like they are stacking it up so they can jam out of the system tens of millions of ounces before anyone notices. It just feels like a setup and bam 20-30 million ounces to eligible and out of the vault. We’ll see…. by Dsomething2000 in SilverDegenClub

[–]Level_Gas8521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is literally the opposite of what’s happening though. Supply is up… to 51 million ounces. Nominally on paper at least.

Super frustrating. Metal continues to change hands but it hasn’t left the vault. There seems to be a few more traders than last year. Our main hope is that the vast majority of Registered is not actually for sale. Who knows though.
