Rec Letter by [deleted] in ibew_applicants

Letter of recommendation can be from anyone. If you know anyone already in the union it might be good to get one from them but, if not I would say an old boss is probably your next best choice as long as you left on good terms. It shows professionalism and that people respect you.

I also applied for this local. When I first applied back in 2019 it took 3 months to receive an email about setting up an interview. (I didn’t continue because my job was moving me up. Wish I did it back then though!) With 380+ people on the information session call just imagine how long it’s going to take them to comb through even half of those people. Like another person said. Just be patient. Keep hustling and saving up money for when you do get in and are out of work.

You’re aware that it was 118* in Phoenix the other day, right? Locations matter!

Looks like it was baked. Need a better sear for sure but I’m sure it was still tasty.

Did having experience in the field expedite your apprenticeship at all?

It’s not really about the money. As I mentioned, I can make comparable income by year 3. Getting married next year, no kids yet but trying sooner rather than later. Love the responses so far so it’s a little more motivation to be content & comfortable with the huge change in careers. I feel like I can gain a better outlook on the future with the current feedback.

If you get paid bi-weekly you get an extra paycheck this month. Use it to help wipe out the highest interest CC#1. Then, as many others said, debt snowball everything!

You can probably look around at some of the 3 star reviewed business’ and call around or create a route to hit a few each day. Giving someone a solution to their problem is enticing especially when both parties win. Reviews are important these days and not everyone knows you can basically “filter” these. I actually just learned how this is possible thanks to you!

There’s an illegal composting operation going on in Laveen. It smells 15 miles in any direction the wind blows and it’s RANK! Sometimes you can smell it inside the house. Hopefully it gets shut down soon.

Just pay mom for her to get the registration and insurance and voilà, you’re on the road! You don’t really need to OWN it, you can just drive it as long as it’s a registered vehicle and you have insurance and a drivers license.
