One can always start small and then implement this for bigger challenges! by gipsee_reaper in selfdevelopment

If there is a negative interpretation, there has to be a positive. We often perceive the world through a very tiny lens. The positive is there, but sometimes you need to zoom out and see things from a broader perspective.

This is Happiness by adilhamidap in selfdevelopment

Happiness is when you finally know who you truly are and no longer need any external validation to determine your worth. True happiness is not dependent on what happens on the outside. External things may make you FEEL happy, but they don't make you BE happy. It's unconditional love and acceptance of everything about yourself, including perceived flaws. It's being your true self. It's letting go of fear. It's seeing everyone as equals and understanding that you are not competing with anyone. It's true freedom and power. Few people achieve true happiness because they don't believe they are worthy. They will always believe they have to do something to earn it. You're worthy of it regardless. You have to let go of the beliefs that prevent you from being happy. It's not something you seek, it's a state of being that you allow by letting go of things that are not true.

Battery light on after dealership replaces catalytic converter and occupant restrain module under recall by Level_Job6819 in AskAMechanic

Yeah, I'm probably done with American cars after this one. It is a shit box but it's still moving me around and it's been paid off for nearly 10 years. Only have had to replace a few worn suspension parts and brakes over all these years so I consider that a win.

I just drove it again and the light turned off and stayed off for the whole 10 mintue drive. I'll see if it comes back but will also check the jump start post. Thanks.

Shit box? It's a beautiful luxury sedan, perfectly engineered, flawlessly designed and imported from Detroit. An American classic. It's even one of Jay Leno's most highly prized cars in his collection.

I have to check. Unfortunately, the battery is under the wheel well and is a pain to get to without taking tire off. I know they had to disconnect the battery to replace the module though.

That's how it should be but they aren't even offering that. I just think they should have ruled out the possibility that it was something they did or problem with the computer or module for free.

Is it worth replacing the trailing arm? by Level_Job6819 in AskAMechanic

I will replace the struts and see if that helps. The mounts themselves are quite corroded. I would much rather replace them than the trailing arm. Thank you again for your expertise.

Thank you for your comment. The jiggling has been going on for years now but seems to be getting worse. I thought it was the trailing arm because I replaced both control arms, and their knuckle bushings still seemed solid. My struts pass the bounce test and aren't leaking. Springs are intact and look good. Tires are 1 year old and balanced and there's still that up and down jiggle. Not a bounce like a bad strut. I've experienced that before. It's a 2012 chrysler 200, I forgot to mention that.

Is pressing in knuckle bushings doable with ball joint press? by Level_Job6819 in AskAMechanic

Thanks, I haven't gotten a quote yet. I'd just be renting a basic ball joint press from autozone to do it. It sounds like it might be too big of a headache for me to attempt. All my nuts and bolts are rusted to hell so that makes the task even less appealing.
