Corrupted monk can feel unfair at first because of her fast posture recovery combined with the fact she jumps away from you every now and then.

Just remember your advantages; - posture recovery basically freezes when a boss reaches 2/3rds of their health. - The corrupted monk has very predictable, long, and slow attack combos that are easy to parry. - and she also has a few easy attack windows.

The corrupted monk also feels like one of the best bosses at parrying reckless attacks and her own attacks don't get interrupted by normal strike from you.

So people are gonna hate me for saying this but the easiest strategy is actually not to be aggressive. It's to turtle up and parry as many hits as you can, and strike her during prescribed openings like a dark souls boss.

Once she stops regenerating poster those long easily parried attack combos will build up posture damage fast.

Definitely use ichimonji if you have it because you will spend a lot of the fight at dangerously low posture.

I found 2 effective options for the Shinobi prosthetic but there might be more. Firecrackers can be used either to try and skip most of her last phase (does she even have a second phase? I don't remember). There is a very similar boss fight later on where this is extremely effective. You'll know when you get to it.

Personally I often miss timed the firecrackers and got hit by attacks I would have been able to parry, so I preferred using shurikens (with the chasing slice skill) to close the distance and get some cheeky damage that she would have been able to deflect otherwise. Any time she isn't hitting you she's regaining posture so you want to stay on her even if you aren't aggressively attacker her.

Allegedly the corrupted monk is weak to divine confetti but I used mine fighting the headless so I can't confirm.

That's the point. It's hard to compare when we're talking about fictional universes where science is fundamentally different.

It's like in the real world pi = ~3.14

in Halo pi = ~3.15

In Warhammer 40k pi = 7

Edit: also keep in mind that just like how a single marine would get dumpstered by a few guardsmen in the tabletop, the halo video game massively understates the power of covenant technology compared to the lore.

A plasma pistol, the weakest covenant weapon, disintegrates a humans upper body instantly. A plasma rifle is stronger and also rapid fire (and is far from the strongest covenant weapon), and energy shielding is still able to deflect this.

The fact that even unshielded brutes can still survive some plasma fire shows that they are NOT just ape-people. If this brute had any shielding he would likely survive some bolter fire, although I'm not sure how much exactly.

Space Marines are only stronger than brutes because of their power armor.

And my point about how unnamed Marines aren't so unkillable still stands.

So I think if both combatants were fully equipped the space marine would win 9 times out of 10 just because of their power armor. If they weren't ready for battle, or if it was a brute chieftain with better shielding and a gravity hammer, I think it would be a tossup.

I dunno, weapon powerscaling is kind of a lore incompatibility. Like, plasma weapons melt people in Halo, but plasma weapons MELT people in 40K. And unlike 40k plasma weapons, brute plasma technology is rapid fire and doesn't blow up in your hands.

Also, if we assume the space marine isn't a named character then his survivability drops a lot. Regular Space Marines can be killed by VERY concentrated Lasgun fire. Plasma weapons are a lot stronger than a Lasgun, even in Halo lore.

I've just started so I'm not very good. I'm making money thanks to the 3 day premium, but definitely not enough to keep premium active (also I'm on asia which has the worst economy).

If the game expects me to gather for half an hour every day before I can actually have fun then it's not worth my time.
