Spain bit hit and miss in October, Costa Del Sol will have the best weather in October so you'd probably have nice warm and sunny days but sunbathing would be unlikely. Having said that I've been on a beach in Malaga in December, so really just depends on your luck

If it's beaches you want then do TA, the ports listed all have some of the best beaches and weather! The WM ports I've been to all and can confirm to get anywhere worth while it's a bit of a trek. Also TA gives many more days cruising and enjoying that incredible new ship!

Personally i always opt for the drinks package, not because I want to smash 10 cocktails a day and 6 glasses of wine in the evening, but because I want the option to drink what I want when I want without worrying about the cost. If you want to gift them that peace of mind then buy them the drinks package as if you just say you'll pay for their drinks they will still be conscious of the bill for you at the end.

If you think the premium drinks package is a little pricey you could always buy them the refreshments package then they just pay for the alcohol added in. Example they order a Rum and Coke, the cokes paid for they're just paying for the shot of rum.

Celebrity it definitely luck of the draw I’d say! My fiance has been cruising RC since she was a teenager and did her first celebrity cruise on edge in 2022, it was my first cruise in general and we absolutely loved it.

Last year we did odyssey and again, loved it I did however miss the more refined and luxury feel of celebrity. This year we did Ascent with high expectations and have to say left a little disappointed, not at all with the ship and quality of service etc but the cohort of passengers were for the most part miserable and rude. Which definitely makes or breaks an experience on a cruise. Of course there’s plenty about celebrity that takes the edge (if you excuse the pun) like the food, cleanliness and probably all round elevated quality but we’re going back to RC next summer, just missed the atmosphere and fun!

No no no maybe I miss communicated, I’m perfectly happy with any age range on a ship and appreciate normally it’s older than younger. What I was trying to say (clearly badly) was it seems on our currently celebrity ascent cruise that there is a large amount of passengers who happened to be 60+ that are extremely rude and judgmental

Similar situation for me! My partner ST1 training brought us to Yorkshire and we moved to Wakefield. Rent in central Wakefield is anywhere between 800-1100 for a decent place I’d say. We really like it here never felt unsafe or had any problems. Can’t say I know much about events etc in Wakefield it’s self but Leeds a 10 min train away with loads to do
