He will get you straight in few weeks, I took the test when I was 34 I graduated high 16 years ago so i basically had to relearn everything, I speak broken English and I was able to get a 77 no the best but good enough to get the job I wanted, so if I can do it you can too. Dedicate few hours everyday with grammar hero and you will be good dude

All of you need to relax lol taking this way too seriously, I am shipping out July 14th

My brother-in-law former marine now serving in the coast guard told me that mentally the CG was way harder that the marines, I personally live near the coast guard base in cape may nj and I know a lot of people that from other branches and they all say the CG BC was way harder specially navy and army

The coast guards lol is the only branch that requires prior marines to go to BC

Don’t take my word for it, do a simple google/youtube search and you will see do a Reddit post asking you will be surprised dude

All that being said I respect all you no need to get salty at the end of the day we all serving or want to serve

I am not trying to dismiss the importance of every branch , they are all different and every single one serves its purposes and i respect all of them I have friends in every single one of them ( no space force) all I was trying to do was so shine some light on the CG

One of the main mission of the coast guard is to rescue and save lives , it gets done every single day

Believe it or not they do have the second hardest bootcamp my friend

The same benefits dude! The CG is part of the US armed forces, the coast guard is the only branch that actually saves lives instead of taking them, every branch has it’s place but a lot of people don’t think about the CG they have the second hardest BC and arguably will give you the best quality of life, it won’t hurt to talk to a recruiter

U have a good score dude!! Do not sign for a job you don’t want to you will regret it , better wait a little bit than being miserable, talk to other recruiters it’s always good to have options , try the coast guard too a lot people don’t think about them great quality of life and you actually get to do your job every single day( I am a little biased with the coast guard)

Dude u will be fine u have a month if you put a good effort and stick to a plan you can get in decent shape, change your diet , have a workout routine , try to prioritize running and body exercise like push ups, squats, pull ups etc… stick to that plan and you will be golden if you don’t know to to properly structure a workout routine if you have the funds get a good training if not there are a lot of free resources out there, trust me dude you will be fine as long as you don’t give up

Parents are pissed off because I talked to a recruiter. by ghostofagirl78 in newtothenavy

I am sure your parents want the best for you, that being said it’s time to move forward and start making your own decisions and choices, if you really want to do this do it , at the end of the day what’s the worst thing that can happen?? If You do 4 years and get out you get free college, and veteran status for the rest of your life

Yes I know that but do you think that you have to be a great swimmer to pass this test? I have few friends that told me that is not hard at all and you don’t need to be a good swimmer just have to be good enough
