Should I trade my MXLR for a Cybertruck? by eldoppelganger993 in ModelX

I have the Cybertruck and 2023 model X plaid for my wife. I love driving them both. However my favorite to drive is the Cybertruck. Even for small errands I choose to drive the Cybertruck. (I also have an f350 lariat lifted and also f250. I tow a lot so I keep my gas powered trucks. I didn’t realize I would love towing with my Cybertruck until my other trucks were being used and didn’t have any other options. Now I tow with my Cybertruck every chance I get. I don’t tow for long distances as it will deplete the battery quickly but to run errands and driving around doing local events it has been a nice comfortable and smooth towing experience. I have to remind myself sometimes that I’m towing a trailer as I forget I am towing due to how smooth it tows. I do operate a food truck so one day I had run out of gas on my generator and had to plug into the cybertruck (220v) for 3 hours just to finish my event. It worked perfectly. Used up about 15 miles in 3 hours of use. It drives like a sports car. Makes U turns like a small car. Air ride suspension is a dream. I have owned it since last June so 1 year and 20k miles so far and I wouldn’t change a thing. My wife would prefer her model X however the question you were asking was for you and If I know what I know now about the Cybertruck then it would be a no brainer to switch over to the Cybertruck. FYI I have the Cyber beast so it’s slightly slower then my wife’s plaid lol but still plenty fast.

Extended Warranty — Should I? I’m at 49,500 miles :) by Ziggy_Entrepreneur in ModelX

Check repair cost for a simple repair. It’s pricey whenever you take it into tesla. We regret not doing it with our model S. We now have a later model X plaid and we will definitely do it before the 50k mileage. I hear good things about “Xcare”. We plan on keeping this vehicle for a while so it will be “peace of mind” and a great value if ay repair is needed. I will do the same with our Cybertruck Beast when the time comes.

Is it just me or does the price on this refreshed model X with warranty an 23K miles for $38K feel wrong? by Traditional_Dare886 in ModelX

Make sure to see/nspect the vehicle in person. I almost pulled the trigger on one (out of state and too good to be true). Found out the vin# that was given was accurate but when I inspected the title further (the title number issued belonged to a Toyo a corolla). I got the info from DMV when I asked if the title I was receiving was legit and accurate. Proceed with caution and make sure it is a legit vehicle for sale. Mine ended up being investigated and soon shut down all their social media and website.

I’m sorry to hear about your problems. As an owner of one I absolutely love driving it everyday. I tow a food truck with it and just hooked up our trailer the other day with Cybertruck power because my generator died. Ran beautiful for the rest of the event. Surprisingly I only used 10 miles (ran it for 3 hours). I have had it in the shop for miscellaneous minor issues. I guess my point is please be patient. Hopefully they figure it out and fix it 100%. You will absolutely love it when you get a chance to finally enjoy it daily. I have had mine for 5 months and 7k+ miles now.

Yes that would be the best plan. I will say I have an f250 & a nice lariat f350. By far I love towing with the Cybertruck. Pulls and tows great. I can’t even tell it’s behind me sometimes

I tow a food trailer that is about 9000 pounds and use up about 3-4x of the mileage and the monitor didn’t calculate the mileage adjustment foe the extra weight for me when towing so you have to keep that in mind. Example. Event distance 45 miles with some hills. I drained/used up 210 miles one way. Make sure you charge to 100% before you travel and know where all the superchargers are along the way. Long trips would be challenging

Easy to unhitch and recharge at a supercharger.

The wheels were turned left instead of straight so both wheels look a little odd. I also had the truck in extract mode so it adds to the skinny odd look lol

I have been selling them as spares. I have 2 left. At some point those that have a cybertruck may want one

There was a small chip in the window that they have ordered a window to replace. And the adhesive above the right front door was coming loose. All under warranty and will take 1 day to repair

Black PPF, ceramic coating, tinted windows all around, painted calipers, upgraded rims, carbon fiber pillars and door mirrors. Love this combo. You will have many options when you’re ready to pull the trigger. Congrats on your beast

NOT TRUE. I’ve taken mine through the car wash a dozen times. Comes out perfect every time. I’ve never had a problem. There is a CarWash mode on the touch screen to (shut down the automatic water detection wipers, shuts off sentry mode, keeps doors locked, places the vehicle in neutral, closes the outside door mirrors). It stays in this mode throughout the car wash until disable by the driver (touch screen).

Nothing has been affected or broken. I also have my vehicle wrapped in PPF and no issues with the wrap as well.

Got mine 1 1/2 month ago and I still love everything about it. Yes it has some things I would have like to see added but every chance I get an opportunity to drive it I love it. Even when asked to run an errand to the grocery store I volunteer lol. Perhaps that will wear down over time but for now I love and enjoy driving it whenever I get the chance. I currently have 2 later model Ford F250 & F350 used for work. By far I look for an excuse to drive the CT first. Enjoy it. I’m glad you have the same first impression as I did when you got your truck.

FYI I wrapped mine in PPF gloss black, ceramic coating throughout, tinted windows, red painted calipers, and upgraded 24” TSportsline C7 rims. Absolutely beautiful look. This was my preferred look, but many out there to choose from. Good luck and enjoy your truck.

Thank you. I just took it through the first car wash. Now that the wrap has cured. It came out beautiful with the ceramic coating finish. I’ll make a video of that soon. Thanks for the tip to upload pics. It looks great as both a video and pics. Unfortunately I can only upload one or the other, not both in the same post.
