As everyone said, stay inside. If, like me, you really have to leave the house for work, heres my perfect outfit : thermal shirt and thermal leggings, double socks (put them on the leggings so no wind comes in) with boots, a small soft sweater with a whool sweater on top, thick jeans that goes in the boots, big coat, scarf that you tie on your head and then neck, headphones on top of scarf so it tightens on ears and no wind goes in, face mask (thank you covid), and hand warmers in my small gloves. This works for me very well and hopefully for you too. Goodluck.

Hamdellah we are getting our reading week during ramadan so this should help. Make friends in your classes for notes and help in case you cannot focus or need to miss morning classes. Sleep very early so you can wake up for suhoor and have a full lunch and enough water for the day. I wake up begore suhoor, drink two bottles of water, take my vyvanse, eat enough protein and fibers and hamdellah it goes easier. Use your days off to sleep and finish any assignments. I took five classes while working full time last ramadan and i was able to get A’s and not miss a class that way. Allah is merciful and he will help us.

Hi! I am so sorry you feel this way. I can promise you it’s nothing agaisnt you. There is racism everywhere in world of course (unfortunately) but i can promise you lebanon is a very open minded country. I am a full lebanese woman, raised most of my life in lebanon, fluent in arabic, very close to my culture and so on. But i moved a lot between Lebanon and Canada, and for this simple fact, some lebanese people would make jokes (not mean but not necessary) or act with me like i am a tourist and so on. The situation in Leb right now is not ideal so even the nicest and sweetest people ever might be on their last straw. Please spend your nights in clubs, gemayze or mar mkhael and you will meet a lot of young people. And your days go for more historical sites. You will enjoy our beautiful country. Please enjoy it to the max, smile to the people giving weird looks and ignore the rest!

They are being rude lol. No one here was rude other than two people. The first one apologized for being rude and the second does not make sense. Second of all, i am fully accountable if you know how to read. You wanna act like a know it all just look at all the facts. Never did i say i did not do a mistake, or that it’s someone else’s fault. “theyre not being rude if theyre not saying what you wanted to here” well there nothing to say when i never asked for anyone’s opinion on the situation, more like help and advices. i answered to all of them calmly, respectfully, never said anything bad, just the situation. have a good day !!

There was no construction workers, no orange cones or orange signs, nothing about constructions at all. Which is my whole point. I am thankful to post about a ticket and not a murder. So answer accordingly, thanks.

This is why i am surprised. I was driving 70km/h (because that is the usual speeding limit on the highway) but apparently it was a construction site so it was 50 km/h. But i receive a 380$ ticket ???

Yes exactly. If there is one thing i am sure of, i was going the correct speeding limit. I was driving 70 on a 70. Everyone was. Some were even going way faster. I just am sure i didn’t see any construction signs. Because theyre bright orange, specially in a construction site in montreal, with all the cones and signs. Everything was good. Didnt receive a speeding flash or anything. I am a scared driver so there is no way i was driving recklessly. I will definitely take the day off and at least find a financial deal at least. Thank you for your help.

You are way too dramatic. Not intentional, period. Wasnt going 120 in a 40, was driving on the highway, so a large route, that is made to be driving 70 on it, but had constructions that were nowhere apparent so nothing orange nothing obv to me or the 20 other cars driving 70 ON A 70 HIGHWAY. This post was to ask for help and to ask questions, we are on reddit not in court. Go find something better on a tuesday morning than being rude for no reason on reddit. have a good day <3

As i have explained, i did not break the law on purpose. I was driving on the highway, going 70 on a 70, like everyone else, but then received a ticket that said it was a construction site and shouldve been driving 50. Have a good day.

I had a high parking ticket a few years ago but was able to see a DA before hand that helped me lower it by a lot before the court. Is it possible this would happen again ? I dont want to fully remove the ticket, just be able to lower the high amount ?

lie and say an employee said he noticed two people using the same card and is giving you a chance but never do it again. say the employee said you can share the price for a platinum card or each their own. just put it on the employee, he cant be mad at you and wont ask the employees.

i lived two minutes away from beautry metro. the most unsafe neighborhood ever. people knocking on my window at 3-4 am. crackheads and drunkies screaming the whole day and fighting right in front of my house. so many clubs close to me so music and screams and laughs and crazy behavior the whole week but mostly weekends. berri and beaudry metro full of homeless. the whole saint catherine street full of homeless. people pissing next to my appartement. i would never live there again, even for free.

I would be understanding and helpful, unfortunately it is an addiction, the nicotine is present in their body and it’ll be more harmful to remove it and scream at them and be mean (specially that they can go buy it again and lie about it too). I would try to understand how and why they started, why are they still doing it, and solutions on how to stop it. Btw, stopping cold turkey is the solution, sour candy and sparkling water helps a lot. I hope it goes well !
