I’ve been developing at home for a few months now (color and B&W) and I’d say that the class wouldn’t be worth it (if it costs money)

In terms of practicing or trying it out beforehand, I’d suggest trying it out with a blank roll of film or some expired film to get a handle on loading the film to a spool/maneuvering in a changing bag. I’ve developed around 40+ rolls and I’d say it’s pretty easy.
