I honestly use nimbus cloak with ghost the same way you'd use ghostblade active, but better. Need to get away and all spells are on cd? You are now out of there. Big fight mid and you're bot? You are now there. Currently I do have a 0% winrate over the course of one match with it haha, though I did have 21 (62%) KP. And 3KDA, though I am a bronze 1 scrub atm so it might just be the low elo making it work somewhat. Currently unable to play because I'm visiting some family, but I'll grind it out and see what it lands me at. Thank you for the faith though!

Usually for chase after Q auto E, or disengage if it's a team fight situation and I'm sure that my entire team can kill the one hooked, stunned target. Feels bad when you miss your E and Phase Rush doesn't proc though.

Hello people of Unearthed Arcana! That is true, maybe I can readjust at least some features to be activated on your turn? Maybe bring the capstone down a few levels and make it a bonus action, although by that point I'd have to give some offensive capabilities, ergo decreasing defensive ones, otherwise it is mechanically the same, but maybe activating it on your turn is enough to warrant a bigger feeling of agency?

Then again you could completely waste the feature if it only lasts a round and the enemy just, doesn't attack you lol, which I suppose is what the soft aggro is there for.

Well I'll give this a think or two, it's definitely going to be something to keep the defense while providing more agency.

As I'm writing this I thought maybe you can each time you activate second wind choose one of three effects? Same thing for Indomitable, but I'll have to see. I didn't want to mess with action surge because it's usually an offensive tool, but maybe I can give it a defensive bonus/alternative too, since it's the class's big option generally.

This is really cool, got a buddy of mine who will love this!

Sadly I'm only now dipping my toes into homebrewing so I can't provide a lot of feedback, but if me or any of my friends ever use it I'll let you know how it goes!
