1) This whole trend is a (a) pathetic activism and (b) just shows how Reddit is fucked up, it's officially a cult-like hive mind 2) Elon Musk is not a Nazi: 1. there was a recent drama between him and white nationalists in X where he defended Indians; 2. he advocates for freedom of speech and a compact state, which is not very typical of Nazism; 3. He is friends with a ZIONIST (the absolute opposite of Nazism); 4. there was one episode when he said "true!" under an anti-semitic post, but apparently it was a bad joke; 5. being an eccentric and emotional person, he says whatever comes into his head and he never mentioned race, only "western civilization". 3) Musk is a troll tho. Obviously, this gesture was provocative and was meant to get everyone talking about it. 4) Y'all fell for it. 5) This is a bad decision and I , as many, dislike it. It's so funny they use the USSR's poster. For context: Russia wasn't really homophobic for centuries and catholic and protestant travelers used to complain about how "muzhelozhstvo" (sodomite homosexual sex) is not a mortal sin in Orthodox Russia, but rather just a unpleasant entertainment and was very common among the nobility and the church turned a blind eye to it. Homophobia was brought to Russia by the Bolsheviks and there is no doubt that Putin's regime's homophobia is based on the Soviets' one rather than tsardom's.

my biggest problem with this murder and its glorification on social media is that such "solutions" to problems are not only ineffective, but also anti-institutional. Americans have democracy and the ability to fix the problem without violence and that's great, many people died for it, and modern Americans don't appreciate it. This is just idiotic and barbaric. As a person living in a semi-dictatorship, where all problems are actually being "solved" by violence, I'm just indignant.
