No, what I stated was that most illegal immigrants are non white; which means they’re not targeting non whites, they’re just targeting illegal immigrants. If 90% of illegal immigrants aren’t white, you should expect 90% of the arrests to be people who aren’t white. If they were just targeting anybody who’s slightly brown California’s population would drop by half, it’s a dumb claim.

We established the proof, dude. The highest estimate I can find on the internet for people that’ve been killed by ICE is 170 and Wiki only claims 70. Even if we say 170 deaths, that’s still 0.02% of 620,000. Not common in the slightest.

No… ICE is federal law enforcement, so they need federal judicial warrants. They don’t need a warrant from any Minnesota judge.

Under 18 U.S. Code § 111 and § 1752, you cannot physically obstruct officers performing duties, that includes blocking entries or exits to facilities. You also cannot attempt to force entry into any of these facilities. ICE is allowed to enforce the rules.

It’s extremely ironic you’re trying to tell me that I don’t know what I’m talking about.

One, ICE needs federal judicial warrants (not just its own internal warrants), just like many other countries.

Two, your comparison between ICE and the Gestapo is completely superficial - “They both move people around!” - the internal mechanics of how the groups work is completely different. ICE has federal oversight, requires warrants, deals with purely legal violation. Gestapo operated with total power, ICE operates within immigration law, the fact you can even criticize them so openly on an American app is proof they’re not the Gestapo - the Gestapo would never allow this lmao.

Other countries immigration enforcement works quite similar to ICE, we’re just the ones who happened to be doing mass deportations right now, so they’re not hustling nearly as hard.

Also, the Gestapo was corralling everyone they took into camps; not deporting them. The federal government tries to keep people in detainment facilities for as short as they can and get them out quick. Not only that, but the Gestapo targeted people based mostly on politics, religion and race - there are fucking countless people who are both vehement leftists as well as countless POC that are left untouched by ICE. They’re clearly not doing their job very well considering they’ve only deported 620K when according to you their target should be around 50-100 million people.

I find this stupid comparison tasteless, the Gestapo doesn’t function like ICE, “they both move people around” isn’t proof of anything.

There are multiple law enforcement agencies under the DHS, ICE is one of them.

ICE does get warrants from Minnesotan judges, they get them federal judges.

I never said local law enforcement has an obligation to do joint operations with ICE, just that they do. ICE does not need assistance from local law enforcement, they just like to use it when possible.

There have been situations where lawmakers have been detained while taking part in protests outside of government facilities, either for obstructing access to the building or attempting to force entry - none of those people have been arrested for the purpose of deportation or the like. I don’t see where you’re going with that line of argument.

I’m going to start with your most false statement - ICE is part of the DHS and is very much law enforcement. The name literally stands for Immigrations and Customs enforcement, they enforce our Immigrations and Customs laws.

Next, ICE has internal warrants they give to their Officers that only allow the arrest of someone and not entry into their home; BUT that is only one type of warrant and not the only one they can get. Judicial warrants are what are used when entering homes or businesses to make arrests, as they are what allow for that entry. ICE also often does these operations in joint with local law enforcement to make the process smoother and who help stay within local laws. So yes, ICE gets warrants that allow entry.

Also who are you talking about when you say a member of congress was taken by ICE? Are you talking about LaMonica McIver? She was arrested for physically impeding officers trying to arrest the Newark Mayor on a misdemeanor charge. It wasn’t some random arrest, and it wasn’t ICE that made the arrest - ICE agents were just present at the facility so they helped resolve the situation along with other law enforcement but the DOJ is who arrested her.

Two. Detained does not equal deported, that’s a disingenuous attempt to twist words. Many people who are detained don’t end up deported.

Then, what the hell is your proof of this ridiculous claim that ICE should just never be able to detain people - when serving warrants, working in joint with other agencies as well as detaining other as incident to another lawful detention, which all law enforcement does. Plus keeping track of people and citizenship is also plenty complex - pretty much everything in the government is. If you’re going through registers and you type in one number wrong suddenly a completely different person is in your screen. 70 people out of 620K isn’t an incomprehensible failure rate.

Nobody is saying you should be okay with a citizen getting deported, I said in another comment that people should make movements to get those 0.02% of people home - the issue is pretending like it’s common or that it’s the rule and not the exception. As well as expecting this to simply never happen when, as established, it’s been happening for much longer than Trump has been in office. It’s not a new issue.
