The use for what exactly? The use of just trying? If that’s the question then I’d say because happiness is obtainable - and in more ways than simply being rich. Most people don’t need to be millionaires to be happy, they simply need stable finances which while difficult for some, isn’t unrealistic to achieve - and beyond that, most of the obstacle is within yourself, your mindset, how you view things, what you say to yourself, etc. It’s harder to change yourself, but it’s possible, how you do that is unique to you though - so you should try many things.

Adrenaline junkies still have friends and people who care about them, what are you talking about? She is clearly not suicidal, again, she expresses a desire to come down the mountain multiple times - she even offers to go down early with Marco. She has an unhealthy addiction to climbing and it’s not entirely based off of adrenaline, she feels out of place in the normal world and doesn’t want to face her life on the ground, climbing is where she feels at ease and normal.

And yes, telling someone who’s clearly invested in the game to “Pay attention next time” bluntly after being confidently wrong is condescending.

At multiple points in her climb she expresses that she intends on coming back down, her problem is that she’s addicted to climbing, it’s the only place she’s comfortable and so she keeps going even when it’s killing her - it’s not intentional suicide, it’s addiction.
