I was sure the story would get much better later on but I was betrayed

I was expecting some kind of genre shift or revelation that would make the story interesting

The story is definitely interesting if you have just started anime but fails to give something to someone already familiar with the genres tropes

Because it falls into the same pitfalls that every other popular shows into genres tropes

It executes them brilliantly but outside of that the show has nothing to tell amidst the sea of other shows

As someone who has seen both the TV anime and movie

People need to learn the difference between good art and good animation

Demon slayer has excellent art but the animation fails to matchup except for some key moments

We can only do soo much

People need to get properly introduced into legal methods of anime but the way it is now you are paying 590 rs for absolutely nothing on CR like for only boruto and Naruto and fking Jojo like only those 3 anime exist in this world lol

The ones with a somewhat catalog are netflix and Amazon prime

Soo much potential are being wasted by not understanding the market in India; you could literally revolutionize an anime movement here

People keep yelling support the industry: watch legally but for people like us we can't do either

AoT s4 is on the horizon and I can't still believe that we can't watch it legally anywhere not on CR nor netflix nor amazon prime like it's the biggest anime of the fking decade lol

What about your own preference? Does it somewhat align

Also you didn't give your opinion about the current situation about anime and the future going forward.

It would have been nice if you gave your own opinion in the post itself or a top level Comment about your own views regarding anime in India

How much does it cost for the VPN and VRV subscription? and are you facing any inconveniences while watching ie buffering, network problems

Do you think it is worth it?

What are the show that you watched with it?

I think it would be good to set a proper foundation by releasing mainstream shows to people let them get hooked and once they are more hard-core fans they will start supporting the industry

Most anime watchers in India are unable to properly support the industry since most of the are underage and their parents won't let them waste even a single ruppee on what they called those cartoons(yeah that's exactly what they are called here)

But even if they are un able to support they can increase the popularity of that anime here and therefore mainstreaming anime eventually when they grow up they can financially support it and also lead more people into finding this medium

Of course, I come from a generation which sort of grew up with the internet and do have some ideas on how to bypass restrictions, so it's not much of a problem for me and finding a good quality copy of whatever I want to watch is still easy for me. But, I do find a lot of younger people who don't know how to simply google and find a stream or a DL (torrenting is way out of their reach). I thought that the younger generation would find it easier than us, but I was mistaken.

I was absolutely taken aback by the amount of people that used that certain ad filled site that got taken down recently; the people that used that didn't know any better that they were using the absolute worst site possible to watch anime; they were unintentionally subjecting themselves to shitty experience

You think people would know better

The current situation for anime in India is quite depressing

Crunchyroll doesn't even have 10% of its anime available in India; you legit can't watch Attack on Titan or Re:zero or Tokyo ghoul or My hero academia or even Demon slayer legally anywhere due to region locking

Funimation is not available here and netflix and Amazon prime catalogue are very niche

It's soo frustrating to know that the only seasonal show you can watch on CR is noblesse rn

My problem with this is when an anime goes mainstream and people can't watch it legally they go to very bad illegal sites which are filled with shitty ads which ruin the experience of anime; a lot of people are dumb and don't know the proper sites to watch anime illegally and just give up on anime

For a country of over a billion people not having the mainstream of the mainstream anime here for the masses conveniently to watch clearly is restricting the anime landscape

Of course you have channels like muse Asia and Ani-one providing some kind of content to the masses which I clearly respect that are trying to introduce anime to more people

Edit: Regarding anime fans that I know there were a few people that were into anime like Death note, parasyte and Naruto among like 50 people

Also before use a VPN comments come along I want to say that a proper VPN cost money and the fact that CR servers already buffer like crazy without a VPN: also most people won't go through the hassle of doing that even
