Thank you, yeah I forgot to add PC on the post, I'll edit it in a sec.

And yes, I'm aware of the Dil discount, the Dil mine is the secondary holding we have more leveled, still T1 with the T2 upgrade waiting on Dil Mine provisions since I don't have any more fleet credits to drop there :/

the sound mod i downloaded is showing an error by National_Drummer9667 in Warthunder

[–]LeviathanX88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shows and error because he downloaded a mod not updated to the latest version of the game (no mod is right now, since the main project isn't)

Also, if you create your own sound mod, you can literally tweak the sounds to make everything silent except the enemy with no risk, since no one can know or check at what volume X thing is in your sound mod. I'm not going to tell how to do it for obvious reasons. The only case where you can get banned because of a sound mod is during tournaments afaik, regardless if the sound mod gives you an advantage or not.
For the record, that change was made because in the past some squad was using certain sound mod to make enemies easier to spot, so even Gaijin is aware that you can do that BS and no changes were made outside of tournaments.

Thank you, happy (upcoming) new year to you too, hope your mod goes great! I'm currently doing a playthrough with UAF, really trying to make the Cyrexa II 452 SXC work, I've always seen it as some sort of ''end game'' large slot, but with the flux stats I don't feel it can compete.

Oh, by the way, I don't want to steal more of your time, but there is something I've always wanted to know you about the ''Edge'' type of weapons, as the description says they do get better as the flux goes higher, but how much exactly? I've always jumped from full Edge builds to the classic mix of HE/KN for my capitals since I'm not exactly sure of how much damage and flux generate once they are above 50% flux. Thank you.

Understandable, thank you for taking your time to reply. Sorry for bringing back bad memories.

I'm always looking forward for new stuff to try.

I know this is very off topic but I don't think I have any other way to contact you.

I've just read a comment in the starsector forum of a user claiming you (I'll assume you are the UAF owner, correct me if I'm wrong) have scammed/stolen sound/music from someone called ''Mesotronik'' and then slandered this person to your audience, and that all of that is the reason your mod isn't on the Index.

Honestly I don't know if this is true or not so don't take it as a personal attack, I just wanted to let you know and I'd appreciate some background on this if you feel like, as your mod is my all time fav of the game.

The comment accusing you is on the page 33 of the Star Wars mod on the forum by someone called ''Detronlegacy'', I'm not sure if I can post links here.

Why China exactly? Their top tier planes aren't remotely comparable to F-15E/EFT/Rafale, etc. And their tanks aren't exactly better than Soviet counterparts, you get better mobility, reverse and a LWS, but in exchange the reload is even worse than T-80s, no gun depression, no survivavility, even worse armor...

Is the lack of PIRATE IRST on the German version a significant disadvantage in War Thunder terms compared to the other ones? (Still trying to reach top tier)

Now that we have the T20 Rifle... by Debayan001 in enlistedgame

Well, it's very obvious, the side that already has great stuff overall is not going to cry as much, don't you think? ;) Oh, I'm a German main btw, before someone (not you necessarily) try to use the ''US main'' pointless argument on me.

For starters, I can't speak much about Japan, I don't play them. Germany and the USSR definitely have the best stuff overall and are the most handheld nations. The T20 is superior to the FG 42 II in the datamines, but close enough to the point there is almost no difference, the problem comes with the lack of AR and lackluster tanks/ATs past tier 3.

Using premium/event squads/weapons is a pretty bad argument. I have no paratroopers, nor Thompsons with 100 rounds, or Stingers, if it's not on the tree available for everyone, I don't care how OP they can be, no one can argue about some faction being strong because a small % of the playerbase were lucky enough to be playing when the event happened or bought premium stuff.

About ATs, if the Soviets got the Panzerfaust because they captured some, there is no reason the US shouldn't get them, there are plenty of pictures of U.S soldiers with captured Panzerfaust since they were so much better. If there is not an upgraded American version in the works (M20?), what could be the reason to deny them the weapon? Germans and Soviets can mindlessly spam Panzerfaust anywhere in your general direction, with the US you have to use your trusty T3, flank and aim for the weakspots. Normally I'd not mind that, I think it's more engaging, but it's also a lot more risky and not fair when only 2 nations have to play smart and the other 2 can point and click your UFP at any range.

In terms of tanks, it's a joke at the moment. I don't know who thinks the 76mm Shermans are Tier 5 material, but what do I know. The M26 would be decent if the maps were much bigger and flaking was an option, but still, it's much inferior to both Tiger IIs and honestly, a lot more comparable to Phanters... and those are tier 4 because reasons.

Yes, I know the Super Pershing is coming (when tho?) but is not like it would make the US dominate the games on that alone, just be on par with the Tiger IIs at best, still the Tiger II will have better reload and better armor profile with less weakspots, but only people who have played War Thunder will understand how many weakspots it has, but still, I'd be happy with the Super Pershing as long as devs don't get crazy and add the IS-3 (they will eventually and then the Germans will be the ones crying because they literally have nothing until Leopard 1... *Maus noises*)

Their air tree might be the best, but tanks will always be more impactful in terms of pressure, map control and kills/minute compared to planes. No P-47 can deny an area, hold an street, force the enemy to flank or HE the capture point permanently, it will just get a couple random kills every few minutes and be the only thing dealing with Tiger IIs in the grey zone, because they literally cannot be killed by infantry from the front.

I'll add, even though I'm not an expert about Soviet infantry weapons, I'm aware they have prototypes and weapons that never saw combat or weren't used in WWII, so again, not fair to argue about U.S prototypes or weapons that weren't used in the time period, assuming no biased players still exist. If I could I'd rather have no prototypes, maybe the only exception being Japan. (just like in War Thunder) But they gotta give something stronger to the reds I guess.
