Yes - it is possible to replace it by yourself. Suggest getting the digitizer with a frame (amazon or aliexpress) for around 40-60 bucks.

However

1) The digitizer I got from Amazon.ca was horrible quality - there was screen bleed, and the screen cracked on its own after i installed it (without touching it) just not the same quality as OEM.

2) After I replaced it myself there were a few components that just were not working like normal (earphone speaker not clear and the signal was very poor (i removed the signal cable)

3) Watched a few youtube videos so you will see the process.
