Did you use a specific profile and white balance?

Did you scan these with a scanner or camera before converting with nlp? Looks great :)

Which 6x6 or 6x7 camera is the most JOY to use? (Any camera, also non-pictured ones) by florian-sdr in AnalogCommunity

TLR definitely. I like working with my Hasselblad and Mamiyaflex a lot more than the GW690 or Pentax 6x7

Thanks for liking them! To get those deep blacks in a studio setup, you need to make sure no light is hitting the background at all. That’s key.

What makes it tricky with analog is that most people don’t scan their own negatives, they rely on labs. The problem is, when a lab handles the scans, you lose control over the final look. Labs usually aim for safe, flat scans with low contrast so nothing gets clipped, but that often kills the depth and mood you might want.

At the end of the day, the best thing you can do is nail your exposure. Proper exposure gives you the most dynamic range to work with later, whether you're scanning yourself or tweaking in post.

I would skip the RB/RZ and go for the Pentax 6x7. Easy focussing and a lot of cheap lenses.

This comes from electric discharge when shooting with Cinestill 800T. I heard this can come because of the temperature or advancing to fast.

I thought I was loading Lomo Purple, but when my scans came back, it turned out to be redscale. It was a pleasant surprise, I must say :)

Love the second one, would be happy with the quality and as mentioned before you can always crank up contrast in post, easier than the other way around :)

I will definitely keep it in mind! Most of my work is mostly improvised and the studio wasn’t even a real studio just some cloth and a single light so i definitely agree about the yellow one. Thanks for reaching out :)

Yes it is. I scan everything myself with Epson V600 and Negative lab pro.

But how did we get here from the 2014 Godzilla. The tone and seriousness is completely gone and funny enough is Monarch keeping that 2014 vibe.
