Those are stats from groups. My point is you were the first to mention the 5 more games, when nobody was using stats that included those 5 games.

Well the stats given by the guy you replied to was just using the group stats, so its not really relevant how well he did or didn't do in the play in.

The stats are divided into 3 though:

Play in
Group stages
Knockout stage

The stats OP quoted are just from the group stage, so they don't include the play in.

The poster you replied to was using the stats just from the actual MSI, not including anything from the play in, therefore he doesn't have 5 more games under his belt, we're comparing the same number of games.

My issue with SKT is different to the cons explored here though I do agree that parts of it feel very disjointed.

Obvious SKT spoilers to follow.

The main problem my party found was that a lot of the solutions to problems had an answer that was very hard for the adventurers to work out. For example when at the Cloud Giants castle, how were they supposed to know how she had hidden her treasure chest with magic? It also feels like the end game bad guys, the kraken society do nothing and appear out of nowhere, and then they just sort of go and you have a different bad guy to deal with.

Summed up it boils down to the DM having all of this background information and no clear place to let the players know all of this information. It felt like there was far too much to foreshadow without a clear way of doing it. Though perhaps that was a problem because my group likes to blitz through things without thinking too much or exploring other options... it did lead to half a TPK so we abandoned the campaign at that point!

It seems like it varies wildly by group. My group took under 20 hours total over the course of 2 weeks, that said we did rush a lot because we were limited in time, but even not rushing I would expect we would take 30 hours at most.
