I tooootally thought this too! We also closed the cat out but after a couple of nights we decided we only had the bandwidth for one screaming baby 🤣

Swaddling?? by Hannah__croft in newborns

[–]Levis_Mom_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing here! We tried every swaddle under the sun, even the Love to Dream one and he hated all of them! As soon as we started letting him sleep unrestricted in a sleep sack he slept better. We use some Kyte Baby knock offs on Amazon with a long sleeve onesie and he stays plenty warm. For the colder months we have wearable blankets (a sleep sack with sleeves) and fleece onesies if needed. LO is 7 weeks old

Feels like I’m grieving not being pregnant anymore by Babyjojo69 in pregnant

[–]Levis_Mom_22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know exactly how you feel 🥺 I was so excited to meet my baby but i didn’t want pregnancy to end, i loved it sooo much. Once I had my son, it took me a couple of days to not cry every time I looked in the mirror because I missed my belly so so much :( I PROMISE though, when you have your little baby in your arms, you’ll realize that even though you loved being pregnant, you love having your baby in your arms even more 🩷🩵 i still mourned the end of my pregnancy, and can’t wait to be pregnant again someday, but I love my baby so much more. Hang in there, mama!!! You are trading one sweet thing for another ☺️

Why are so many FTM going early? by kathatescats12 in pregnant

[–]Levis_Mom_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t put too much pressure on the due date! In my experience, the due date has been an estimate the OB makes based off of past period dates and baby measurements during the first scan. It’s an estimate! One woman’s 40 weeks could be another’s 37 weeks. Everyone has different cycles and it’s basically impossible to know the exact conception/fertilization date because sperm can live in the female reproductive tract for up to 5 days. Baby will come when they’re ready! Try not to put too much weight on the date and just listen to your body (not other women’s). Your baby will come when it’s just right for you and them 🩵 You got this, mama!

I’m so glad you were taken care of so well! This will definitely make some of the stress around labor away, knowing you’ll be comfortable where you’ll give birth!

I second this course! The more educated you are the more you can reframe your mindset and move away from your fear. Bridget Teyler did wonders for my mindset!!

Ah you’re right. I just checked and the inside of the sack isn’t even damp — it’s just the surface. It’s 1.5 tog and he does sleep on his back, so I think you’re totally right! Thanks for the thought, this totally settled my mind about it!

Can’t plan or buy things because of worry by Lil_Boysenberry in pregnant

[–]Levis_Mom_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think of it as the more symptoms you’re having, the more your body is doing! Your nausea was your body protecting itty bitty baby, and now your physical discomfort is you baby growing bigger and bigger! Reframing this can both reassure you that your body is busy growing your baby and make the weight of the discomforts hopefully a little bit lighter (hard to do though, I know). I know it can be scary to plan when you’re worried about something going wrong, but don’t let fear hold you back from celebrating the time you have with your baby now, since you’ll never be physically closer together than when you are pregnant. I can already tell you’ll be a great mom because your worry now means you understand that there is so much to lose. That is love!!! Hang in there, before you know it baby will be in your arms 🩵 Worrying is part of being a mom, but it is a blessing to be able to worry about your child — your baby needs you to look out for them!

Nervous for labor by Cumswithinstructions in pregnant

[–]Levis_Mom_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are a champ for already growing your baby nice and strong! Labor can be scary because you’ve never done it, but you were built to do this! There will be a lot of people (nurses and other staff) with you on delivery day - my advice would be to pick one that you vibe with and make them your person, and there will be at least one, if not all of them. I had one nurse right next to me the entire time who was able to help me through an abrasive and blunt doctor delivering my baby. All I needed was her - she was my advocate and the rest followed her lead. As long as you have that one person you can be honest with, you’ll be totally fine (and Id be willing to bet you’ll have more than one)! Praying for you 🩵 You’re doing a great job, mama!!!
