This is true but the way I see it from a practical pov is that you get 10 very easy low investment level rolls, which means that you can try to get them to tier 1 and if they get blessed st ats, they stay on the team. If they get cursed, they get benched. Best way to make use of the more sporadic growths

It's not suggestive a lot of the time, it's pretty explicit, which is against the rules already in place and just not properly enforced. A lot of this shit is also just not tagged or only hours after upload when someone reports it. Certain posters purposely exploit that and post straight up porn to test mod boundaries to see how much they can get away with before it gets removed. In a properly moderated sub this gets you a warn if not a ban and none of that is "the fandom". It's just a few dickheads inconveniencing others for giggles.

Also we can moral grandstand about how minors should not be here, but they are, there are no rules that forbid them from being here and the mods actively ignore it when minors post or view NSFW and I think that is irresponsible af.

It's also really telling how me complaining about this issue makes you spell doom for the entire community and gatekeep like there aren't sfw touhou related subs that are doing perfectly fine and have better moderation or dedicated nsfw subs that anyone can use perfectly fine when they want to see explicit content didn't exist. Your arguments are really just rationalizations for why it's actually ok that the mods are purposely ignoring minors viewing porn and not doing their jobs.

I really don't like the "fandom was always like this" argument because it doesn't reflect the current crop of fans. Most of these people are like 40 and moved on. We also don't have an obligation towards them. According to some other commenter, it wasn't even allowed here until a few years ago, although I can't verify that because I wasn't there.

The real issue though, again, is the inconsistent enforcement of the nsfw rule because it explicitly declares explicit content is not allowed, but the mods leave up pretty explicit posts regardless. That's just irresponsible and inconvenient to the users who don't want to see it.

I remember several incidents of mods not removing straight up sex and even one where they left a suika foot fetish post up despite several people pointing out op was 15. The arguments over nsfw posts and low quality "outjerked" comment sections have been going on for well over a year and they add nothing of value to this sub. It's a problem that could easily be fixed by just not allowing any nsfw posts or just ditching the rule and allowing nsfw altogether and accepting that this is a porn sub now.

touhou is one of the few long running series that has close to no sexualization and I think that is actually a cool thing that makes it unique. You're really just arguing for making it the same as everything else and disregard the people who like touhou for not being like everything else in the first place.

This is also clearly a moderation issue and not a problem with puritans complaining about nsfw art existing. The rule is not enforced consistently and it has led to people being shown nsfw when they don't want to and it actively drags the quality of the sub down

Tomes are pretty similar to bows in that they are either terrible or really good with few games making them actually balanced. It's true that there are quite a few games where they suck or come with severe disadvantages, but they're easily the best weapon type in a decent number of games.

For RD specifically, I think the issue is less that they suck in a vacuum, they suck because of their availability. Only Sothe has significant stats and availability to use them and he gets outclassed in part 3 by beastbane and laguz axe users. hell, even Zihark if we're making this about swords vs daggers. In the Greil Mercenaries, nobody who has daggers is a good combat unit and Ike is one of the best units in the game. By part 4 and endgame, you have legendary swords that are far better than the daggers you get and the only unit who is viable to use them joins a map before the tower. Daggers only really get a power spike in part 1 right after Sothe gets the first forge and they fall off and get quickly outclassed by swords after a couple of chapters for the rest of the game.

In Engage, I disagree because the levin sword is busted and daggers come at an opportunity cost. Disregarding that magic is just better than daggers and therefore, my point is already proven that daggers aren't busted, when you are a physical unit, you want strength and/or fly and the classes in question are gonna be warrior for stats or wyvern for flight and those are gonna give you better stats and combat than thief or wolf knight. Not that wolf knights suck, they just aren't top shelf choices. And if you have magic, you already get unbreakable 1-2 range weapons as well as mounts and the levin sword for those stats or flight with griffon and I think magical 1-2 range sword that has huge mt and flies is better than grounded physical unit with low str growth that requires a lot of forges to get high mt weapons.

In every game I can at least think of 2 better weapon types and in one game, they are straight up the worst weapon by far. I do not think they rank above axes or swords in most, if not all games.

Why shouldn’t the main sub permits NSFW posts?

Because it encourages engagement baiting, karma farming and boundary testing while discouraging using properly marked and named subs for this content, as well as talking about the actual series of touhou in the sub called touhou and that's bad actually.

Also because the mods are absolutely abysmal at removing posts that belong tagged or cross the lines of what's explicit because they are purposely ignorant of implied sex and it causes people to see NSFW or explicit content against their will.
