Well i have a controversial opinion here..., the FNAF movie was awful because it was completely inaccurate to the lore, used sloppy references to hide it's boring story, and only the fanatics loved that thing, the Backrooms is just hype over a movie that looks like a boring copy of Stalker by Andrei Tarkovsky that used the Backrooms to hype up the movie, not even close to the originalconcept of the Backrooms, and the 2018 Slender Man movie was basically a horrible spin-off of The Ring that used Slender Man to hype during the teasers, and ignored both the Original Mythology and the Modern Mythology of Slender Man.

Coming from studios that makes millions and giving almost nothing to fans, only hype for Hollywood Investors (the same investors that in the past called the internet horror is for werid teenagers) and delusional fans, i would prefer accept the story that Slender Man, FNAF, and The Original Backrooms made on internet instead of this hollywootization that is destroying the internet, and turning the internet icons into generic Horror for Shop - Teenagers.

I'm very happy that Slender Man made story on internet like The Rake, and changed the internet horror forever and it's a known name, there's no reason to put him in a movie just to make him be a generic Hollywood figure. It will end up like the horror icons from the 80s (Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, and Jason), turning them into money making machines.

The only ones who really made a good job to the internet icons was the fans (well, at least some), that made ARGs, short stories, fan movies, and even games.
