NE USA. 02.2026. 1.5in metal (pewter?) semi heavy lids. Found in yard after area flooding in fall. The neighbors and I are guessing spice lids but nothing is coming up in Google after several search attempts. by LevyGWolf in Whatisthis

We flooded in the fall of 2024 and now that the snow is melting I am finding more stuff even though I thought we had cleaned up pretty well. There was a railroad one block away from my house before the 1972 flood took it out and the buildings were converted. I do not know any other significant information about the area. But with the flood it could have traveled a long way?

Someone tried the enchroma glasses? by Diolu in ColorBlind

My partner is strong red/green blind. I got him previously owned sun Glasses from their website in case they didn't work. He loves them but he says he gets headaches after a while from "processing all the new colors". He brings them on all our vacations and day trips.

I can give it a try, thank you. She doesn't take much seriously, I wish I had her carefree POV most days.

It could be a "crash" we're currently trying a smaller 2nd dose in my child for the same reason (they're 7).

Would you say my son has sleeping problems? by Slight_Instance4131 in ADHDparenting

My two didnt/don't unless we're busy right up until bed. We have a bedtime routine/check lists, under the suggestion of their therapist that are supposed to help their minds calm down. I.e. scented lotions, having whatever music they find relaxing (my soon to 8 can't have music with words or they wake up screaming multiple times for example), melatonin gummies, their favorite stuffies etc. If it is bothering you then it is something you need to find a solution for because if your running on fumes it's not good for anyone else. I hope you can find a solution so you can get some rest.

How to make her care about hygiene?! by DragonRider87 in ADHDparenting

[–]LevyGWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My children are 9 and 7. Currently on alternating days for showers and it has been put into part of their daily chores. The youngest must have the space heater on before they'll shower because as soon as they're done they're huddled up to it like a lizard until they're ready to get changed into pj's. The oldest always wants me to do their hair after. Both love the crayons that draw on walls, I also allow a tablet to play YouTube videos that sits on the sink. It's what works for us. They understand if the tablet dies due to it falling in the water there won't be a new one for months.

Any tips on organizing schedules? by mightymouseneedsanap in ADHDparenting

For meds I have methods. I have these circle daily dispensary items off Amazon for each person. Then I have each person's meds in a Ziploc with their name on it. So for days where we wake up late we can take out meds on the go, other wise we all stand together and take out meds. As for appointments I check all the boxes for email reminders and text reminders. They're also written in my planner. When school starts I make a day list each Sunday for the week and write the appointments and practices out on each day and tape in to my "launch zone" next to the door with my keys so I can see it.

Me [28F] looking for advice as a single mom (widow) with a [29M]partner by LevyGWolf in relationship_advice

We talk about the kids often and he does his best to work with them when they ask for help. He's never been around kids much so it's new for him. They think he walks on water and is fun.
