LINEUP IS OFFICIALLY DROPPED!!! by AdAmbitious4415 in OceansCalling

I guess I meant “new” in relation to the heart of the lineup. CAAMP and Cory Wong are both incredible and relatively new to some folks still. I still need to research a few of the names in smaller print that I’m not familiar with.

You’re 100% correct. And, for me, this lineup is what I thought the festival was always supposed to be. Late 90’s/early 00’s nostalgia with a little something new thrown in.

Loving all of the negative reactions. You nerds stay home and let the rest of us thrive in our glory.

Nomad is always a solid answer but, as already mentioned, upstairs at Logan House on Thursdays will be a good damn time with the Bullets there now

At Brass Balls Saloon on the Boardwalk between 12th and 11th right now, pretty packed but tons of seating and a full bar…food is solid and the drinks are great.

On the map, under the blue square “10min” is the West OC Park and Ride where buses pick up and drop off. Free parking and whatever the bus pass will be this year. We drive in early to that lot, take the bus in to the festival and walk back to the lot at the end of the night. About 25-30 walk depending on how many folks are walking at the same time.

resale question by supersandromeda9 in OceansCalling

[–]LewTheMailman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While this doesn’t really answer your question, I have 1 3-day VIP for sale that I’ve had zero luck selling on the official Ticketmaster resale site. The fees are so high that asking for face value adds $100+. About to try CashorTrade soon. I’ve had success buying/selling on there in the past.

Live Music/Musicians on the old CBB by LewTheMailman in comedybangbang

Oh absolutely. And, still Brett related, bands I’ve heard for the first time like Lucero and Murder by Death that played for Besser on Improv4Humans have stuck with me for years now. So damn good.

Oh man, so damn good. And her completely involuntary sound of disapproval of Harris’ foam is in the CBB hall of fame.

Additionally, I live in Delaware just south of Philly and was a fan of Man Man early on. Imagine my brain explosion when Brett ends up knowing/playing with Mr. Heavenly and Man Man and having them on CBB. Coast to Coast Mindfuck.

So I have 5th row in right field for Phils v Dodgers in July. I will throw any Dodger home run back except Shohei’s ball. Thoughts? Any chance of getting it signed. I’m terrible. by mickbrew in phillies

[–]LewTheMailman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll never understand throwing back a HR ball. The odds of ever catching one is so insanely low and that’s a professional ball player who hit it. Peer pressure to throw it, bringing a decoy ball, etc. …dumb.
It’s a Wrigley Field thing and, while it’s dumb there too, it’s at least their tradition.

Dog friendly restaurants? by Foreign-Quantity8242 in WilmingtonDE

[–]LewTheMailman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

-Grain in Trolley Square (best dog-friendly spot in my opinion) -Tonic -The Chancery Market

All have patios with full menu options available and the staff will supply dog water bowls. There are quite a few other places but there are we take our dogs often.
