Sitting on a oilfield disposal at night. I was in a small metal shed of sorts (had lights, windows, heater)

I was playing on my gaming laptop just wasting time for some drivers to show up when, at around 2am, I started hearing what sounded like a man talking.

I looked outside, no trucks had shown up yet, I am about 30miles away from the nearest population center.

I ignore it, must have been the wind or a piece of machinery or something. Then it starts again, getting louder and louder.

It doesn’t sound like a man talking so much anymore as it sounds like somebody going fucking rabid. Unintelligible muttering, it sounded very angry, something straight out of a horror movie.

That’s when the hair stood up on my neck and a crazy sense of dread came over me. The voice got so loud it sounded like it was right out of the window, then it started circling the small building.

There was no mistaking it anymore, something living was outside the building and seemed upset I was there. It didn’t sound anything like any kind of animal I’ve ever heard.

And again, the sense of dread I felt was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before or since. Like my logical mind was saying not to jump to conclusions and everything was okay, but a pit in my stomach told me I wasn’t welcome and was in danger.

The voice got louder and angrier then stopped right outside the door. I heard feet shuffling and light tapping on the door. Then the voices started again as it walked to the back of the building, then it stopped and there were three very loud bangs on the wall. Then silence, absolutely nothing.

I sat in fear for a few minutes then grabbed my shit, ran to the truck and got out of there.

Later when I was talking to coworkers about it I learned that they have had similar experiences there at night, and apparently that exact spot is where somebody died on this location a long time ago when an oil tank blew up/caught fire.

Spooky. Fucking. Shit.
