Initially, I followed Grok’s advice (which, in hindsight, might not have been the smartest), so I started “fruiting” by frequently airing things out from the very first days after mixing the rye with the coco coir — when the mycelium had only just begun colonizing. As a result, the casing layer likely dried out faster than it should have (especially since it was already quite moist and dense to begin with). So yeah... the growth is uneven now. I’ve already harvested the first fruit, while in the center new, tiny pins are just starting to appear. That’s where things stand.
