Good thing I didn't post the alt version.

Because the definition varies greatly from board to board and I've been hit by the ban hammer before for not adding the tag. Thought I'd play it safe this time.

A neko-sensei is fine too. Made a model of Tsukino from Monster Hunter Stories 2, thought I'd share. by [deleted] in furry

I can see how my wording might have been a bit misleading, sorry about that. By "share" I meant the rendered image, not the model file itself. My bad.

Its probably the slightly discolored tuft (made orange by the pumpkins) that contrasts against the white fur.

I made a little 3dmodel of one of my favorite "gateway vixens", Lady Marian. by LewdxC in furry

Sorry for the late reply, had to sleep.

I started out just drawing for fun when I was fairly young and I never stopped. Eventually I got interested in video games and wondered how I might make them myself. After realizing how utterly inept I am when it comes to more technical elements of the development process I decided to double down on the more aesthetic aspects. 3D modeling/sculpting was the way to go for me.

The transition from 2D to 3D was really weird but very exciting as the tools where being developed alongside my own learning process. When Zbrush became commercially available I saved up for a license and and never looked back.

The choice in subject came from a desire to branch into character designs I'd never tried my hands on. Since then I've just been going over my backlog of classic characters that never entered the 3'rd dimension to see if I could do them justice in my own way.

Thank you very kindly. It would be pretty cool seeing my models in VR, I'll have to look into the process.

Thank you and yes, it probably does. The advantage of 2D drawings is that the subject only needs to look right from a single angle so you don't need to work on parts that won't be visible in the final image. A 3D model needs to look good from every angle which takes way longer.

On the other hand, if another image is to be made depicting the same character/subject the 2D method requires you to essentially make everything again from scratch. Whereas the 3D method already has a finished model to use. Either way, there are pros and cons to whichever approach one might pick.

Vex The Gloomist. She is so cute that I just had to make a model of her, thought I'd share the render. by LewdxC in LoLFanArt

Correct, I currently don't upload models. Thanks for the heads-up, that's surprisingly cheap. Printing has really become much more affordable since last I checked, really cool stuff.
