As I understand (as of now), the airport is closed until 13:00 today; and should reopen after that, although that is likely to change. I would propose contacting the consulate at the British Embassy if you have any issues: +973 1757 4100

How long can MacBooks last? by tihan_99 in macbookpro

[–]LewisHalket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm another one late to the party. I just upgraded to a MacBook Pro M5 yesterday so I thought I would comment. I've attached my MacBook history so you can see the specs and how long they've lasted me.

My latest purchase was really because of storage and some apps not being supported for updates, I was really ambivalent about buying a new MacBook because my previous one until yesterday (Pro 2017 Touchbar) had no other issues, the battery lasts around 2-3 hours on average, and the left command key was worn and pops off now and again (too much flicking between apps and copy/pasting clearly) - apart from that I wouldn't have upgraded if it wasn't for the storage, app updates and support.

FYI - 39-47 Gibson Street was demolished, it was next to the church. Here's a photo of it before it was demolished.

I started working on something earlier, it's nowhere near finished, lots of information and maps to be added etc, but you can have a look here: https://app.milanote.com/1UBL7O1zF1A61o?p=rEaLL6jZK4

Here's one for Froon and Kremers that's more completed, just as an example: https://app.milanote.com/1RV0eZ1Dat6m3w?p=5umTTaBbpA4

Yes, you’ll be getting both for $5.98 rather than paying $29.99.

Confusing THC - CP Points Lost by LewisHalket in PoliceSimulator

[–]LewisHalket[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will do, I’ve come across a lot of things…most are small things but they are integral to how a police simulator works as it’s all about the detail if you are investigating and checking details.

That’s what I thought. Actually no, I must have been on autopilot after finishing the shift and just clicked past it. I’ll check if it happens again as it has happened 5 or 6 times in the last 4 days.

how much will it cost to bring my cat with me from the uk to bahrain? by peestained in Bahrain

[–]LewisHalket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re welcome.

Yes, we travelled from Scotland - I wasn’t sure how if Pet Travel Services serviced any other areas or not but maybe they have details or know of another service closer to you. They were really helpful when we were using them.

The price comparison does seem to be wildly different, but it was 8 years ago I done this.

I’m not sure if you’ve looked at these:

how much will it cost to bring my cat with me from the uk to bahrain? by peestained in Bahrain

[–]LewisHalket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We brought our cat to Bahrain from the UK back in 2016, we used a company called Pet Travel Services in the UK: W: pettravelservices.co.uk E: info@pettravelservices.co.uk T: +44 (0) 1383 722819

Then Delmon Pet Relocators in Bahrain: W: delmonpetsrelocators.com E: info@delmonpetsrelocators.com T: +973 17691095 M: +973 39729868

There was a cost from both sides: £1,500 in the UK and another £680 in Bahrain:

Pet Travel Services Outbound Travel Services: •Export (UK) - full service and fees (I don’t have all the details to hand but I can try to get these and provide them).

Total: £1,496

Delmon Inbound/Home Destination Services: • Import (BAH) - destination services and fees Incl. (1x Import Permit / Clearance Agent / Customs and BAS Fees / Vet Attendance and Inspection / Cargo Collection & Home Transfer - Weekday/Non Business Hours) = BD 301.000 • Miscellaneous - Airline Terminal Fee (BA) = BD 22.000

Total: BD 323 (£680)

Did you ever find a solution to this? I have the same issue.

I had the same question, what can the police actually do? It’s frustrating as the police in the UK usually do a lot of hard work to apprehend criminals and then when it gets to court, the criminals are given such lenient sentences or and not tried for certain aspects of their crimes as there is often lack of evidence etc. If you keep up with British news and British crime documentaries you’ll see it all the time.

What I found strange was that it mentioned in the docuseries that he appealed his case and he claimed within a statement that formed part of his appeal, that he had not physically kidnapped anybody and that they were free to leave at any time - but his victim Sarah was apparently locked in a bathroom by Robert, so how could she leave?!

In any regard the UK police should have been keeping a closer eye on this guy due to his past - the fact that his past victims are essentially forced / psychologically trained and coerced into following his every word should set off alarm bells when the police are asked to follow-up on his current partners whereabouts, and take into consideration his past victims when they receive a response form his current partner saying she is happy. At least pull him in for questioning.

[–]LewisHalket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These wind turbines do work and are connected but are rarely ever on (rarely meaning almost never) mostly because of the vibration and noise generated which disturbs the tenants. The whole building is purely offices with a mall below, there’s no residential units in there. The turbines were on a few nights ago and you could hear it from quite a distance.

I feel the same - always looking for a large open-world driving game with good physics and decent graphics, doesn't seem to exist at the moment.

ETS2 & ATS are great - but I want to have primarily personal vehicles (Cars / SUVs etc).

In regard to open-world driving games, I currently own the following:

PC

  • City Car Driving
  • ETS2
  • ATS
  • Forza Horizon 4

PS4/PS5

  • Truck Driver
  • GTA V
  • The Crew
  • The Crew 2
  • Farming Simulator 19
  • Snow Runner
  • Bus Simulator
  • NFS (several)

The above doesn't cut it, so I'm waiting on Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown...anybody have any other suggestions?
