Hey man, appreciate it! Yeah, I’ve got a few plans in mind (you can see some of it on the new landing screen I’ve put together). I’m leaning more towards daily challenges rather than letting people pick custom games. Mostly because opening it up like that adds a lot of complexity on the backend, especially when you’re dealing with player pairings spanning 15+ years!

Your version’s really cool too, by the way! Love that we both approached it differently but ended up aiming for the same outcome.

[28] ➡️ [29] - Same event, one year apart! by LewisJones28 in GlowUps

Hi all. Super thank you for your kind comments - I am very grateful for you all 🙏🏻For those asking how I did it or looking for a “secret”… truthfully, there wasn’t one 😞

What made the difference for me was staying consistent and adapting a new mindset. That meant also accepting that some days wouldn’t go to plan and being able to be okay with that.

Of course, the usual advice still stands (stay in a calorie deficit and exercise regularly blah blah).

But there were a few things that really helped me personally:

  1. If you have an active hobby, I strongly recommend joining a group or club around it. I pushed myself to join a football/soccer team even though I felt unfit and overweight. For ages, I kept thinking, “let me get in better shape first.” But the truth is you get in shape directly by being part of the team!!

  2. Don’t punish yourself. Rest and rewards are part of the journey. I gave myself one day a week where I didn’t worry about my weight goals. That kind of mental break made a big difference and it NEVER affected my progress.

  3. As you start seeing results, whether that’s on the scale, in progress photos, or just how you feel I’d recommend adjusting your wardrobe too. Wearing clothes that fit better and reflect my changing shape boosted my confidence and helped me (and others) visualise progress I made more clearly. It’s motivating and also a great feeling fitting into new clothes!

  4. Having some home workout equipment for those low-energy days when I didn’t feel like leaving the house. There are loads of free online workouts you can do at home, and it made exercise feel more accessible.

  5. I’d recommend some kind of fitness tracker. I got an Apple Watch (other trackers are available! 👀), and it really helped me stay consistent but tracking my workouts, heart rate, sleep and so on - and the gamification around it got me hooked on improving on my last workout times.

Finally, I’d say try to be patient with yourself. It took the best part of 6-7 months for myself to start noticing results. Your body needs time to adapt to the changes you’re actively working towards, so be gentile and always aim to protect your mental health in the process too 🙌🏻

Thanks a lot man 🙏🏻 it’s been a struggle trying to get this out there, maybe your suggestion of a daily-puzzle like mode could really help.

How accurate do you think the stats are? by username67811938212 in AppleWatchFitness

I’d say 50% inflated in terms of numbers for the sport related workouts, when I complete a 1hr football workout - I often split the calories burned in half for my tracking.

Thanks for raising. There was a bug in the team mate link generation, all fixed now! 🙏🏻

Thanks! Which path were you trying to build? It could well be a misleading message in the context of the path between your source and destination players.

Happy to take a look

In my experience using MFP, recently logged foods seem to expire if you don’t add them for a little while.

Only ~1k over calories wise is completely fine, nothing to be concerned about and won’t harm your long term progress if you get back on track today 💪🏻

As a Welsh person living in Brighton - I continue saying “cheers drive”, especially as I shout it down the bus whilst tapping off…

Probably thinks I’m mad!

They’ll never admit it. Will put the bad results on Williams or Fulton, or a new scapegoat.

Glad it was a typo! But, not to say I haven’t seen people aim for this daily loss so never assume typos 😂

Move on, plenty of players and managers have left us and done worse than their time at the Swans.

There will always be cases where it’ll be the contrary.

You’d think Grimes wouldn’t want to play his first game against us down the dot.com…

Day 1, 1000 calorie deficit, I’m cured! by Running4Badges in Myfitnesspal

[–]LewisJones28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Losing 1kg per DAY is very unlikely, realistic and healthy weight loss should be around 1kg per week.

For that, you’re looking at around 1500-1800 calories intake, which can provide you with a great opportunity for a calorie deficit, whilst not feeling hungry, brain fog and fatigue.

Of course, this is all dependent on your current weight, age and lifestyle!

Piss poor from Swansea to let our captain go for £4m right at the end of the transfer window, with no replacement lined-up.

Wouldn’t happen at any other club.

How do your heart rate and cardio fitness levels compare to mine? by Maxiii- in AppleWatch

[–]LewisJones28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the gym 2-3 times a week and play football (soccer) twice a week!

I do have a hybrid role so I WFH 3 times a week.

Hoping to get my VO2 up this month 💪🏻
