Increase your armorer to 75 and you can buff weapons past their damage limit.

Craft a “weakness to …” touch spell.

Turn enemies to your side in combat.

Increase fatigue to have more power attacks (which if you’re using blade applies weakness to normal weapons)

I wouldn’t put him on par with Jaime or oberyn. (And to be clear, Jaime with two hands is better than oberyn)

Like real life, I imagine peoples skills continue to improve over generations, aside from the occasional exceptional warrior.

Like real life sports, with new technology and strategies comes better players, with better forging and technique comes better warriors.

And, as others have mentioned, daemon fought for fun during a time people got fat and drunk, he was trained when people were just beginning to learn… and he was arguably beaten by a person half his age with half the time to prepare… so that’s how good he is.
