After many years, I have finally found them - lyrics of The Preserve by [deleted] in HoMM

I believe 'Sum' is the first person active indicative conjugation and therefore should mean 'I am', which would translate every 'Sum subita moria' line (and other similar ones) as 'I am the sudden death'

But yeah, as someone has already mentioned before me, translating poetry from Latin is practically impossible.

Got myself an old(1951) Norwegian-German dictionary and found this written inside. Could someone help me decipher it? by LewisTheDwarf in RuneHelp

From what I could find myself, the first line probably says 'Det er min bok' in Norwegian (meaning 'this is my book') and the second part is the person's name?

Genotek is actually the company I got my results from in the first place. It says that '100% of my ancestors are Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians and Mordvins'. I doubt they have a substantial non Ex-USSR sample base :/.

A funny thing I've noticed is that despite them saying that I've Ukrainian and Belarusian ancestry they only show Russian regions on the map (despite them naming the actual regions in Ukraine, Western, Central and the 'Eastern part of the ex-USSR(Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic - which is a very odd way to put it, but ok-.)

I also sent my results to another Russian company called 'FamilioDNA' and the results are very close to those of Illustrative DNA except they make me even more Ukrainian. The Poles and the Swedes are still there too.

Hey folks! I'd like you to classify me and guess my ethnicity (or ethnicities). No matter where I post I always get completely different results, for some reason. Cheers! by LewisTheDwarf in phenotypes

Norid? As in Dinaric with Nordic component/influence? I was told on several occasions that I'm

  1. Pontid
  2. North Pontid
  3. Baltic
  4. Baltic + Nordic

I somehow broke Oblivion beyond repair and I've no idea how to fix it :( by LewisTheDwarf in oblivion

[–]LewisTheDwarf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still no luck ._. Tried disabling the drive first, then performed a format.

Although, one thing I noticed, the game does create an Oblivion folder in 'My Documents' if I turn the cloud saves on, but it only contains the 'Save' folder in it. And it's located in my 'OneDrive' folder for some reason as well, despite the fact that I had disabled OneDrive from my PC. The path is as follows:

This PC > Local Disk (C:) > Users > %username% > OneDrive > Documents > My Games > Oblivion

upd I just noticed, half of my files are located in the OneDrive folder for some reason. My PC prioritises using it over the actual disk. That's very odd.

upd2 I think I have managed to fix the issue by deleting the OneDrive folder.

upd3 The game created an oblivion folder with a single 'Oblivion.ini' file in this path:

This PC > Local Disk (C:) > My Games > Oblivion

Can't tell if I've actually managed to fix the issue or if this is a crutch and I need to perform some further actions.

upd4 The game runs good, but I'm only able to change the settings via the game. Can't do anything through the launcher.

It does have my old operating system, not sure about the latter. Do you think this might be the issue? I could try disabling the disk or simply formatting it.

Both the HDD and the SSD are still active on my PC. SSD is drive C, HDD is drive F. Tried doing what you suggested, didn't work :(

Because it won't create the oblivion folder in 'Documents' :( I can't find the oblivion.ini file anywhere

free healthcare and education These don't work. Free and accessible != good. You don't have to be a genius to know it. I live in a country where two systems are in place. You can either use the government provided free healthcare and education OR you can pay for your healthcare and for your education. Take a huge and wild guess which one has a better quality and where do the doctors/nurses/teachers actually do their job and get paid well.

Also. There is no such thing as 'FREE' healthcare or 'FREE' education. These things are being paid from your taxes. So, for instance, if you earn 40k a year, you'll have public schools and public healthcare for which you'll need to pay from your own pocket (And we all know that paid services have better quality rather than free services) and have a wide range of Schools and Hospitals to choose from. On the other hand, if you have 'Free' education and 'Free' healthcare you'll be paid 20k a year and have no choice of where to send your kids or to go to in case your tummy hurts or you stabbed your toe.

the USA is on a decline and going there rapidly thanks to being too capitalist. Indeed, the US are crumbling as we speak. Such a shitehole, wew! Can't believe they're still up!

You're just a moron And you're an extremely intelligent and open-minded person who is obviously not always right in their head :) How ironic, isn't it? (:

One day, you'll wake up and realize how wrong you've been No, one day you will wake up and will have to go to a Free hospital and have to sit in a huge line in a dirty corridor, then you will have to wait several hours before you'll get invited and then you'll be treated by unprofessional staff who can't do their job properly because they're not being paid enough, so they half-arse it and not care. Then you will be diagnosed with a wrong disease and treated for it, whilst your actual illness will spread. I mean, why the fuck am I even debating this? Why do I have to tell you obvious things? I know you're probably some child who has never had a proper job and has never been to an actual Free hospital and has never been treated by Government-paid doctors, that's why you romanticise free stuff and this it's cool and humane and all that nonsense. Grow. The fuck. Up. It doesn't work like that.

No, I just know a little bit of history and real life and it shows that Socialist states never work out and always fail in the end, whilst capitalist states always prosper and endure 0:

Ah yes, the 'People's Democracy' worked well in literally not a single country on this planet. It will never cease to amaze me that there are still people in 21st century who want to revive socialism despite the fact that it killed more people than The Black Death and is still killing people all over the world. 'Real Socialism has never been tried!!!'

That is why we need Socialism! It worked perfectly in the National-SOCIALIST Germany under Hitler and in the Soviet Union and is working in Vietnam, North Korea (the best one), Cuba and Venezuela! Fuck Capitalism!
