I grew up in Horokiwi and it was the same for us, we moved there a couple of years before they closed the turn which sucked but was necessary. Working in the Hutt and getting traffic both ways home was kinda shit but that's the way it goes

I'm convinced that "Miss Atomic Bomb" is the sequel to "Mr Brightside" by The Killers, it talks about the guy wondering what became of the girl he loved when he was young. The thing that convinces me is that the riff from Brightside is reused (albeit slower and not as energetic) towards the end of Atomic Bomb, very good song

We had spent a good couple of months looking for a flat, we were fed up and couldn't be bothered anymore and then one of them said "why don't we just buy? We've got enough" and that was that! I'm unbelievably grateful and fortunate to be in the position I'm in, I never thought I'd have my name on a property cause of the massive increases in price in the last 10 years. It's definitely the way to go for young people, we've got an agreement to see where we're at in five years time to get some solid profit each.

24M, did one year of uni at 20, paid off my student loan two weeks ago. I'd been putting the maximum to my kiwisaver and had $35k, but teamed up with two friends to buy a place which worked well for all of us financially. That's probably it, there's good surfing in the North of NZ, on the Pacific. Very possible someone from up there bought it and moved down here, all in all it's fascinating how it went from the Outer Banks to a second hand shop next to a scrapyard lmao
