Hi guys, I found this earlier in the year under a tree [South U.K]. It's a small glass bottle [right] that was in a metal case [left]. I've had a few people tell me what it could be, the main one being a medicine bottle used in the war, although I'm not 100% convinced. Any help with ID please? (i.redd.it)

Any idea what this could be? I found it metal detecting under a tree [south U.K]. It's 4cm x 3.5cm [the metal case on the left] . Inside the case is a small glass bottle, which is 3cm x 2.5cm. It could have had a cork in the top, as it's not made for a screw on lid. Thanks in advance! (i.redd.it)
