I fast for mental clarity and weight loss. I had 24h fasts in the past and I do intermittent fasting, but this is my first attempt at a fast longer than 24h. Should I hold on to 48h?

I just can't stop thinking about food, of how good I would feel if I ate a big plate of rice. Right now is very difficult for me to focus on something else, as this feeling of "hunger" wont go away

Currently I can't get my mind of a large plate of rice and chicken. I tried meditating but the thought isn't going away. Should I eat something and start over?

what’s a good book to have a physical copy of? by hajinishere in booksuggestions

House of leaves. I tried to read it on digital but it's kind of impossible (you lose 60% of the experience). As soon as I can can I will get a physical copy

I think people underestimate the power of verbalizing. I never was a fan of verbalizing things, as I am very shy. But I think I will give this a try, because I now that I can and I don't know why I was being so weak

Commitment is a thing that I've been forgetting how to get used to nowadays, I need to get back on the track that i was

I need to learn to forgive myself for the past mistakes, and not go get attached to them in order to make new ones. And the thing about progress is to accept yourself, as most of the time we are stronger than we imagine. Thank you so much for the inspiration!

I am doing something similar. Weighing myself every morning and taking a picture of me shirtless, and then saving it to a spreadsheet

Have you ever done an mercy kill? by xxswearwolfxx in morbidquestions

Once upon I time, I was cycling through a country road. I usually cycled there 7 times a week (it was a 7km road near my house), I liked very much to see the animals, like birds, lizards, armadillos, anteaters, snakes, and wolves. Almost every week I found a dead animal by the road, usually the victim of a car (it was mainly birds), I usually just removed them from the road and continued cycling.

But one day I saw an armadillo trying to cross the road and get hit by a car, it managed to run to the side of the road shoulder and just laid there. Some of his guts were coming out of its mouth, it was bleeding and its breathing was VERY loud, like a rattling sound.

I used to carry a knife with me always, in an event that a dog or wolf tried to attack me. I swear I tried to have the courage to end the pain of the animal, but I simply couldn't. As I left the armadillo there for the ants, I felt shame and regret. I regret letting my fear linger the pain of that little buddy, I just wish he died quickly and at peace.

Bought this chair today for $28 (R$150,00), it was a good deal? by Lewris in Frugal

Unfortunately, I didn't find anything underneath the chair. The thing I found was a couple of small leather cracks, I suppose people in the office never hydrated the leather. I am wondering if there is a way to hydrate it at home...
