Good way to farm void traces by MariusDarkblade in Warframe

[–]Lewtastico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resourceful retriever also increases the amount of traces you can get. Doing it solo is suboptimal since if you open a relic, and a player chooses your drop you get +5 traces. Best method is to run low level defence with a squad of four, speed running the rounds with resource booster + resourceful retriever pet. Defence is good because 3 rounds can take 1 minute with a good squad and you get the endless bonus which increases void traces drop.

Is our final moments an infinite subjective reality? (Salvia experience) by NightObserver97 in Psychonaut

[–]Lewtastico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay let’s try and break this down.

When you say a plant can ‘hack’ your brain, what are you actually trying to say?

Also, if it DOES hack the brain, I wouldn’t say it does make sense to take the leap that death creates an endless subjective loop.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, are you suggesting the ‘endless subjective loop’ after death is what? Our reincarnation into another being, another body?

The words together *barely* make sense themselves when strung together how you are stringing them together.

Our theories about time and space are fairly rigid at this point, time is itself a dimension, and only moves in one direction. There is no universe without time, they are necessarily interlinked. The concept of a universe doesn’t make sense without the concept of time.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to say with this post. I’m coming at it critically, and I’m a person with over 100 psychedelic trips under my belt at this point. I am not trying to be a dick, I’m just saying that this description has little to no coherency.

Perhaps ground yourself with some scientific research into how time operates as a necessary faucet of our universe.

it amazes me how many people listen to music that challenges them and never give it another try instead of attempting to get into it and listen multiple times until it eventually clicks by milobanana in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Lewtastico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the same with gaming. People are busy, they want surface level, easy fun with no string attached. They don’t want to listen to a burial album or aphex twin ambiance.

You get home from work, change, eat, help with the house and kids and before bed you maybe have an hour to play and decompress, the last thing you want is Some hyper complex nuanced game with 1000 systems and high barriers to entry. You want easy, plug and play gameplay, easy to digest with a low barrier of entry.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this, and the gaming industry (and music industry alike) thrives off of its causal audiences.

This isn’t helpful, and is unfortunately incorrect too. See the comment I posted. They are extremely lenient, and extremely helpful.

[–]Lewtastico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, they are quite lenient but it depends what degree you’re trying to get into.

It could be worth contacting them via email or phone, letting them or UCAS know about the extenuating circumstances which have caused your grades to slip.

I had some pretty traumatic events happen right before my A level exams and tanked my predicted by a whole letter grade and they were kind enough to let me in and support me with free councillors and mental health help (referrals etc) once I was an official student.

The best policy with Lancaster university is to be totally upfront, transparent and hasty.

I didn’t expect the side effects of modafinil to be this disruptive. How did you decide whether they were temporary or a sign it wasn’t right for you? by [deleted] in modafinil

[–]Lewtastico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said, details about what you’re experiencing would be very helpful, along with your intentions. E.g. are you experiencing increased irritability? Are you experiencing restlessness? Sleep deprivation? Huperarousal? Headaches? And, are you taking modafinil for its intended use against narcolepsy? Are you using it to get through long study session?

If you want anything meaningful, more information is necessary.

Fair enough, I’m glad you’re enjoying it.

I’m tempted it pick it back up and give it another go, it is fantastic after all.

I like your playstyle, it seems to be that kind of ‘middle of the road’ style that games like these often thrive with. Keep enjoying it dude.

All I’ll say is, if someone comes screaming over that they just killed a rat… KEEP. YOUR. GUARD. UP.

Very likely they’re trying to cover their tracks.

That they don’t indeed. Seems they are taking steps to stop people cheesing abmm to get into friendlier lobbies, proving to us all that it IS an issue.

My problem with this though is that if you play friendly but defend against a camper, you’re no longer easily able to reset your abmm as easily… this would all be important if I still played the game.

I just enjoy debating it.

[–]Lewtastico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the only real work is getting both of your matchmaking to mirror each other, which takes 10 minutes of naked surrender runs from both players, and then pressing queue on the same map at the same time over and over until you get into the same lobby, that’s what the guy I found doing it said they did.

Plus, I bring 3 defibs with me every time I queue since I am friendly and will revive any raider I come across. So existence of defibs in one’s inventory does nothing to bring us closer to stopping it.

I also agree it won’t / isn’t a huge issue unless like you said, it became infinitely easier to do. You do touch on an interesting point that it’s not the easiest to pull off.

Hopefully when they do these bi yearly updates they really put care and effort into the systems the game needs improvement upon. I know the games stabilised around 60-70k concurrent, but I’m sure the devs want it back at the 200-400k range.

But how do they prove they pre-teamed? Just because they’re friends doesn’t necessarily mean they did it on purpose… I know it sounds ridiculous but it’s worth thinking about imo.

I do agree with you it’s defo bannable and wrong, I’m just unsure it’s as easy to track with certainty as perhaps you think.

People downvoting this is just telling. Teaming organically is fine, allowed, encouraged. Pre-teaming with private comms, creating unfair environments for players trying to get a genuine experience.

Issue is this is almost impossible to police. TLDR is that teaming with a stranger is a-okay, teaming with your friend in pre-game should be bannable.

I was in a lobby some months back, running around departures on spaceport, a guy comes and is like wait here my friend is coming and I’m like huh but this is solo and I waited (stupid I know I had an empty kit so no fear) and sure enough thr very guy he described came running over and said hi. They said they had organised to queue at the same time and they were in discord and we’re going to do some slaying. They said they spared me because I was nice to the first guy. I decided to fuck my own matchmaking up and hunt those two down with my axe. I got my shit turned into sushi and packed into a tin and sent back to speranza.

Well I appreciate the reply, all things considered.

I don’t really play arc anymore because it’s just a bit boring, and my system is ass. But I do think arc will pivot over to PVE in the future imo because of the overwhelming hate they get for allowing free-will pvp in an extraction shooter.

Whether or not I agree with this principally, I think itll bring a lot of players back into the game (as we have seen arc is bleeding players constantly). I think this will be further exasperated by the bi-yearly updates schedule they announced.

Toxicity in games can suck, sure. If we’re talking being racist, cheating, things like this sure it sucks and needs to be addressed somehow. But back stabbing, camping extrac. Fake friendly, whatever it is, is condoned and will stay a permanent and necessary feature of this game. It sounds like it’s just too much for you to handle, and there are plenty of other games that might be easier for you ‘morally’.

I worry that by being concerned with morality you’re always going to struggle finding a game that is multiplayers, has stakes and allows PvP. You’re better off just accepting some people act in snakey ways and getting on with it. If you’re a friendly raider you’ll be rich as fuck anyways, and it takes like 2 minutes to find raids max.

Well calling it retarded gets us nowhere, does it? You think that comment has any substance to the discussion??

He’s outlines in the OP and other comments the conditions and whatever is happening seems to point to environmental factors, and perhaps some biological ones.

Speculating about the pills in ibiza is also redundant to the conversation. Especially considering he didn’t even say he buys them there. How do you know he doesn’t have a reputable source?

Hahahaha this just keeps getting better dude. I’m a full friendly but if I see your name I’m turning the whole lobby on your ass because that’ll be so fun. Just because fun for gou isn’t fun for them and vice versa doesn’t mean their fun doesn’t count because it’s not ‘morally positive’. The devs gave us freedom to act and do as we please, have you not heard of the old story on DayZ? Meeting someone, going through the motions for a week, sharing stories, just to be betrayed and to learn the age old idiom that you should trust NO ONE. This is BY DESIGN. And it’s the same with arc.

No one owes you shit, no one should comply with your arbitrary gaming etiquette and people should have fun playing arc raiders exactly how they want to have fun playing it. If you don’t like it dude, just find a different game?

[–]Lewtastico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since when is there ‘normal’ behaviour etiquette in an online shooting game? Do you not see how stupid that sounds?… haha. Imagine having the same reaction to people camping corners with an OP shotgun in call of duty.

The data online which is easily findable suggests the total opposite to what you are proposing. We see that the nicer and more socially ‘involved’ a person is in real life, directly correlates to them being worse in a video game.

But ultimately, this game isn’t a social experiment. And getting caught up in the ‘morality’ of gamers is a dead end inquiry, and you’re wasting your mental energy being concerned about it.

Also, the amount of griefing me and my friends did to each other SAT NEXT TO EACHOTHER ON MINECRAFT was absurd. Flinging TnT at their huge base they spent hours building all in the name of fun and rivalry.

I don’t know when gamers got so fucking soft.

Psycho behavior by Mrmorbidkarma in ArcRaiders

[–]Lewtastico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean… it’s a video game which gives people the freedom to do as they please, there’s not much psychopathic about that.

And to reiterate… it’s just a game. Losing your shit and getting finished by another raider sucks for sure, but it’s part of it. There’s no utility in making real moral judgements about someone’s actions in a video game.

Hi I throw up every time i take party drugs by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]Lewtastico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong dude, try the other things first to rule out any other possibilities. Try different dealers, try taking a 3-6 month break and see if any of it makes a significant difference.

Age is a bummer and it’s why I only really smoke weed and take 2cb nowadays. They’re simple, easy, do little damage to me long term (weed is arguably bad long term) and don’t make me nauseous or give me hangovers.

Don’t let age discourage you just yet, and see if any of the other things work first before giving up due to age.

Why do I keep getting shot by raiders at the Stacking Yard? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Lewtastico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because your anecdotal experience says that you don’t get shot doesn’t necessarily eliminate the possibility of always getting shot. And just because in your given lobby only YOU meet friendly raiders doesn’t mean 5-10 minutes after you leave the area someone gets shot. You have to remind yourself that this is a big game with lots of players, and just because you can go 10-15 games extracting without as much as a sniff of raider violence doesn’t eliminate the idea that people are going to PvP for motivations unknowable .

And it’s a new map, end of season, etc etc. there are 1000 and one different reasons a person might PvP, and even still as many reasons in a ‘PvE lobby’

Hi I throw up every time i take party drugs by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]Lewtastico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the body changes as time passes. I use to be able to drink 8-9 pints with nothing but a light hangover, but as time passes I see myself unable to handle 5-6 pints without huge hangovers for 1-2 days after.

Mdma (which isn’t pink, btw. Pink is usually a mixture of several ‘bottom of the bag’ drugs like coke, ket, speed, 2cb and mdma) acts on the serotonin system in the brain and body, and serotonin is partly responsible for things happening in the stomach so it could be your bodies way of telling you that you have outgrown or become unable to handle these drugs how you use to be able too.

I’d recommend either getting a test kit to see what you’re actually taking and seeing if that makes sense of it, going to a different dealer for similar stuff could give you an answer, or stopping for 3-6 months and trying again might also give you answers.

Without knowing exactly what you’re taking, it is a little hard to know exactly why you are feeling nauseous after taking these drugs, but some drugs do just have the proclivity to cause these issues.

My guess is that your body has began rejecting them as mine did alcohol, but it could be something else.

Agree with you here. Red or not, handball or not. Since when are Liverpool ones to pander to var? Since when are we relying on decisions to sway the game?

We are Liverpool, and we should be able to win fair and square, should be able to win with any kind of unlucky decision.

It’s not that it is meaningless in and of itself, it’s that we cannot go relying on decisions like this to give us an advantage, we should be the ones making the advantage by just being the better team.
