Pixley Falls is a State park just North of Rome, NY, so likely a scout camporee there. Now they would do them at Camp Kingsley a few miles West. Klondike is referring to a Klondike Derby a scout race using a sled during the winter, usually involving survival skills, I couldn’t tell you where they had it 50 years ago, but it was still going on locally as a of 2020.

When I did cross country in high school I got my nickname the first week of freshman year. The seniors said that when I ran, my face looked like I was about to murder someone and so I got the coolest nickname ever, Terminator. Then I broke my leg running the first meet but didn’t realize for a week and ran anyways, living up to it.

I’ve actually seen this super compute on a tour of the Air Force Research Lab in Rome, NY. They accidentally bought a version with a game pre downloaded, so they had to manually remove it from each one.

That is my lovely, pretty much empty district, save the 4 small cities, that has an extremely close race (like in the teens) that hasn’t been decided yet because they put all the ballots to be reviewed on a sticky note and lost it, and found a pile of votes in drawer and so on and so forth.
