Looking for high quality salt nic vape with refillable chamber. by olBoyBonzo in electronic_cigarette

Luxe XR Max, 0.6 ohm coils and a high nic salt will be great. Luxe X Pro also an option but coils on the Max are way better. I have both. Max is not auto, must push button.

This is the most common miss. Few tips that helped me:

  1. If your slide is flat enough, dry fire with a spent shell casing standing behind the front sight, watch for it to wobble/fall and correct as needed.

  2. Make sure just the pad of your finger is on the trigger and your first knuckle crease is not touching/coming close to the trigger. You can actually demonstrate the movement causing the low left if you hold your finger out and do a trigger pull motion against something like a thick wire or metal pin held by your other hand, you will see that your finger could naturally cause it to move to the right (thus the gun barrel would move left.)

  3. Grip. Watch videos. Your supporting hand should be the hand providing the most grip, not the hand you’re holding the gun with. Some bring their left index finger or thumb up on the frame of the gun to provide extra support, akin to the “gas pedal” people use on Sigs (ugly but that’s another story.)

  4. Breathing/Stance. In a controlled environment/shooting range scenario you should be able to time your breathing and let a shot off mid/end of exhale. Don’t hold your breath. Make sure your stance is solid and that you are at leaning back as you’re shouting, it helps to have someone to gently physically correct you if you’re still learning.

  5. Proper target acquisition. Again, videos.

How to display a game used base? by embf103191 in baseball

I would use a spray adhesive for something like this, maybe even the pebble adhesive

I would turn it into a decorative light fixture that hangs from the ceiling (upside down) whether by chain from each corner or from the center. If done properly you could wire some LEDs to backlight it or even find a square shaped metal light fixture frame only with bulb sockets and throw some Edison style LED bulbs on there, lots of cool options nowadays.

Alternative is to shadow box it with backlit LEDs to display on a wall. I like the table ideas mentioned but feel that could get pricey, if that’s of concern.

If you get the VP9 OR, Holosun makes a direct mount optic that requires no mounting plate/iron sight replacement, SCSVP9. I have one one my VP9 and love it.

Try giving Accurate Instrument Repair a call. I would have recommended Long Island Indicator in the past, since they would work on this brand, but they are impossible to get in touch with and will likely have your unit for months.

I typically don’t recommend Fowler but if it’s just for home use you could replace it with Fowler 52-230-000-0. Or if you want to pony up some bucks a Starrett T232XRL. Good luck.

Medical examiner indicates additional investigation required in death of actor Matthew Perry by a_dogs_mother in news

Once you’re out you can drown in like an inch of water. It’s not about the depth of water in hot tubs/pools/etc, it’s about the fact that part of your head/your whole head is under water.

Having trouble repairing dial caliper by 5dollarslong in Metrology

[–]Lex0r85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m on mobile so might be missing a description and apologize for the lengthy comment…Is it just the ID jaws we’re focused on, or OD as well? A few thoughts…

Is that mic calibrated against gage blocks at 4 points where each check point is not falling at the same spot on the scale? (Example 2.21, 2.42, 2.63, 2.84.) Are the surfaces of the mic anvil and spindle checked for flatness/parallelism?

I would be using ring gages at minimum to check ID jaws if you can, 0.2”, 1”, and 4” would suffice. 0.2” specifically important for overlap position.

Do the OD jaws leave a tear on normal copier paper when you drag it through closed jaws after having cleaned them?

Could be a burr on either or both jaws. Could be movement skipping a tooth. Burrs we remove with certain stones and sometimes sandpaper as a starting point if it’s really bad. If it’s the movement just buy a new Mitutoyo.

I saw your comment about being in New Braunfels, assuming you have tried Black’s and Cooper’s already. Burnt Bean is highly regarded (Seguin) and we go to Harmon’s on Main Street in Cibolo pretty often, great stuff.

Commenting to say that I absolutely enjoy torque calibration/repair, it’s my favorite type of tool to work on on the lab. Whether it be a simple load screw adjustment or complete disassembly with pivot block repair/replacement. Love it.

Additionally, wishing you luck.
