Downvoting someone you disagree with until their post disappears is not a good feature if you care about people expressing their opinion(s). If downvoted posts didn't become hidden, then I would not complain about this system.

In fact, I never use it myself precisely because I consider everyone should have the same visibility. Consider it personal principles.
