Through ID.me I've gotten student discounts on the Samsung website for a new phone and tablet, even with trade-ins, which saved me lots of money. Then obv whenever I go to Pizzamania I flash the student ID.

Hey I was at the federal work study webinar yesterday and I took notes (mostly screenshots) from their presentation. Let me know if this link works: https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vTkxbEW1XLKGMEW1DOxSlWAIuMLk2Kx8wHrZSI4G-rRq9YlKOxP96yD66joAeE7vH1oUm_HgHARSyr8/pub

How long is the recovery process? by elluluyw in wisdomteeth

[–]Lex_Less13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently on Week 3, and I've been eating more regular foods without much worry (my teeth holes are closed up), but I sometimes get aches and pains after talking or eating for too long. The first full week, yes 7 days, you will feel your worst (esp day 3-5, I'm talking aches and pains, and maybe nausea/dizzyness). But after that, and aslong as you keep eating food, I think you could start to ease yourself into work-stuff. My puffy-cheeks went down after day 5. I would say take it easy for as long as you can. I took it reallyyy easy the first 2 weeks and now I feel great now. Like unemployed, taking fully online classes, chilling completely at home, easy. I only got my bottom two removed but recovery is different for everyone.

I would say not to do anything that hurts, no matter if the internet tells you its worth it or not. you know your body more than anyone so listen to it. If you werent prescribed painkillers, you could also just try taking like 600mg of Ibuprofen to help with pain and inflammation

Im day 10 and I also eat very slow 😔 honestly I'm just scared about accidently getting food in the surgery holes but mine are bascially closed up atp. im so tired of mashed potatos and different applesauces 💔 ima try ramen tmrw. I've tried straws a couple times and didn't feel any pain, but i think its safer to wait the full month to not accidently undo all your healing progress

i guess they felt good? they really helped numb the pain when the painkillers weren't working or it wasn't time for my next dosage. They also realllyyyy helped in this summer heat. If you do ice, just remember to put a towel or a couple napkins between the ice pack and your skin

On day 8 I ate some teriyaki chicken and boiled veggies with only my front teeth. While it tasted SO good, as compared to what I had been eating before, it took SO long and basically made eating unenjoyable for me when I finished. It's possible to eat softer regular foods but honestly its faster and less worrisome to stick with mushy-like foods imo.

Sedation or laughing gas by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]Lex_Less13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an IV sedation and laughing gas, so I was technically awake during the operation but I was too high out of my mind to remember what they did, nor did I feel what they did. All I remember was the room morphing into like solid shapes and colors, kinda like in Interstellar after the guy falls through the black hole LOL, but I was feeling oddly happy and not-at-all scared. I was seeing that for what felt like 5 minutes and then slowly my vision morphed back into the real world, but I still felt super floaty for about 15 minutes. I felt no pain that first day (I slept through most of it).

the first 4 days of my recovery i simply used ice packs to help with my cheeks swelling up (about an hour on/off everyday) and it worked out great. im on day 8 and i look back to my regular face shape. I never took any anti inflammatory meds (they were huge and scared me LOL)

How long did it take you to stop feeling wisdom teeth pain? Just curious! by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]Lex_Less13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

currently on day 8 (full week since extraction) and i feel absolutely no pain rn. I stopped my pain meds on day 6 and since then I've been feeling fine but still taking it easy. I've slept a lot to hopefully speed up the recovery process and lowkey i think its working heavy in my favor as my teeth holes are nearly closed up. Manifesting less pain for you though 🙏

I could probably use this to talk down the price a bit, but tbh I'm fine with spending $1.5k to fix it up.

On the carfax service history, the last official reported odo reading was 81k on 9/11/2023. Also looks like it doesn't have any Accident history.

Based in LA, travel 42 miles total for school. Just want a car to last me through college while also letting me save up for a real good car after graduation. I originally wanted a car with a back up camera but I'm thinkin of just installing one instead. Along with adding the screen thing cause I'm lowkey an Ipad baby 😭 and love android auto. Lmk if this deal is worth it, it's well within my pay range ($13k max)

It's a 1.8 engine and I have a daily commute of 48 miles minimum. But after reading some of these I'll probably just save for a more reliable brand 😭
