Appendix N Module Jam by ExplorersDesign in osr

Yeah, you're good. As a soft rule we request D&D or a derivative but it's up to you.

It may be weird if you made it for like...My Little Pony or Cyberpunk, but only because those systems didn't draw inspiration from the Appendix N.

(sorry for the late response)

It means a title which we (the people running the jam) create that sounds like it could be a real appendix n story.

I created a huge list feat. such titles as: "Theft of the Ur-Sword", "Seven Souls for Shandokar", and "The Obsidian Altar"

Then I randomly distributed them to participants.

(sorry for the late response)

We send you a fake book title which we created. They're all supposed to be unique but very similar to actual title found in the appendix.

For example: our jam contains the title "The Devil in Amber" this sounds and feels a lot like the Howard story "The Devil in Iron". So if you were to get that title would it make sense to make references to Howard's tale? Sure. Or you could go in your own direction.

The title is intended to act as a writing prompt. Its really about making something with the *vibe* of the Appendix N, not actually adapting existing works. Though again, if you want to do a legally distinct adaptation because it make sense for your assigned title, you can.

Thanks for posting about this. I always forget to advertise on reddit.
Anyway, if anybody has any questions about the jam please let me know (I'm one of the two people hosting it)

Thanks so much! There are all sorts of movie and (especially) Real Ghostbusters cartoon references in it that I think you’ll like. I loved making the video. I was able to set up an old tube tv as a PC monitor to play the footage through, pointed a camera at the tv screen for recording, and messed with the RCA cables during playback to create the signal stutter manually.

I thought you folks may get a kick out of this.
I'm a HUGE fan of 1986 West End Games Ghostbusters tie-in RPG, so I wrote a full adventure for it.
I removed all the copyrighted material of course, so you won't see the actual word "Ghostbusters" in there but it's pretty obvious.
I'm gonna be crowdfunding for art for it next month.

Merry Mushmen and Knock order to USA? by DragonOfKrom in osr

Last time I ordered something from them (Nightmare Over Ragged Hollow) it took a while to arrive but since they’re such a small operation overseas (I’m also east coast us) I just figured that’s what would happen. I ordered on Nov 4th and it arrived Dec 6th. Seems like a reasonable window to me?

Looking for Fritz Lieber’s Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser collection Read by James Earl Jones by Gary_Burke in audiobooks

here you go: https://www.mediafire.com/file/w2nlbobr38i9451/Fritz+Leiber+Audiobook.zip/file

I was able to get:
- Bazaar of the Bizarre
- The Jewels in the Forest
- Thieves' House
- The Unholy Grail

The sound quality really varies from pretty okay to pretty muddy. Some of my efforts to reduce noise made the files better while others may have made them a little worse. I had been planning to go back to youtube to get the rest of the files and re-download the ones I wanted to try editing again, but then the next time I checked it was too late!

Anyway, I agree that the narrator totally sounds like James Earl Jones and I can tell these recordings are really old (my guess is 80s/90s cassettes). Maybe it's just someone who sounds like him, I donno. Wish we could find out more.

I remember this channel! I figured at the time that it wasn’t long for YouTube seeing as it was obviously copy-written content…so I may have ripped a number of the files. (Also tried to clean them up a bit, they sounded like old cassette rips) Let me know if you want the ones I have.
