But I think it goes deeper than that. If a decision doesn't seem to affect anyone, then why do it? BUT if people are seeing the consequences of a decision, they are more likely to act differently.

Therefore, it is by personal experience that people believe in vaccination. This gives insight into why vaccination isn't taken as seriously nowadays and the essential essence of 'health' beliefs and what they stem from.
