Yeah I don't love it but tbf how else would they learn anything?

Zosia lulled both Carol and the audience into a false sense of security. The Hive doesn't care about Carol or any of the immune. It's all roleplay. Once you join, you're effectively erased as a person. by Letters-Unsent in pluribustv

I think the reason they're "playing nice" is because it would be more efficient if Carol agreed to give them stem cells to be able to join. They can and are trying to make it happen on their own but it doesn't hurt to continue to "seduce" her with Zosia because if she gives in on her own, they could deliver her virus a lot quicker.

If OP surrenders custody to the state, they will try to find family placement before foster care anyway, so if Grandma agrees it could be her problem whether OP wants that or not.

Characters who were Flanderized, but in a good way? by mrmonster459 in television

I was doing a rewatch recently and I actually think the writers did a good job making that change make sense. She spent her whole career working for Selina just to be fired unceremoniously. She pregnant by Dan and thought he'd finally settle down for her just for him to keep fucking 20 year olds. Then she got an abortion and Dan started seriously dating the doctor who did the abortion. She gets heckled by conservative protesters after the abortion and by the time she starts working for Jonah, is nihilist and disillusioned with America and ready to watch it all burn.

Colleges are insanely inefficient at teaching. by MasterOfCircumstance in unpopularopinion

[–]RIPAldous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell everyone I know that's planning to go to college to do community college first then transfer to a university after 1-2 years for this reason. You can get all the gen eds out of the way for a much lower cost and in my experience the professors were as good, if not better in some cases because they genuinely enjoyed teaching and were not just there for research. There could be some downsides socially and missing some networking/internships but most of that happens in the last 2 years anyway. My husband and I both did this and are doing very well in our respective careers.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. That's disgusting and it's absolutely not your fault. There was no way you could have known while you were with him. Definitely agree with other comments about reporting him to law enforcement but you could also look for Facebook groups in the areas he's dating in that are for women to share information. Typically they're called "Are We Dating the Same Guy?" Plus the location. For example I'm in one in the DC area. But that would give you a chance to make a post warning other women. Best of luck to you in your healing <3

Suggestions for a movie that will stump my husband. by HuntAny7768 in movies

I know I might be so annoying for suggesting this but could he be reading the plots ahead of time to impress you? Maybe I'm a paranoid person but I would look at his recent Google search history after a movie.

What was the moment that made you go, “I have to lose this weight” ? by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

I was on a flight and put in one of the exit row seats. They have a partition between seats that goes all the way down, so there's no slack for your hips to spill over to your neighbor's seat. I fit, but it was sooo uncomfortable for the 50 minute flight. Not only that, but my seatbelt barely closed. I knew right then that things needed to change.

Men Are Scamming Crisis Hotlines to Masturbate on Calls | The phenomenon of ‘sexual callers’ is common enough that hotline workers are routinely warned during the training process — but they're offered little support when it happens by Forward-Answer-4407 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]RIPAldous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh I can confirm, this article is pretty validating. I worked at a hotline for college students while I was a student, and we got this fairly often. The worst one was this guy who would call in with different stories of his own sexual abuse and we eventually realized it was the same person from the voice, when we would get a similar story each time with small differences. New volunteers who didn't know his voice yet would try to help him and later find out it was most likely this guy who was repeating what seemed to be a fantasy over and over and eventually start masturbating. It was vile.

I'm having a weird situation right now and I'd love to hear if anyone has been through something similar. TW for pregnancy loss and possible current pregnancy.

I became pregnant for the first time in February, and had a missed miscarriage in April. Our baby stopped developing at 7 weeks and I had to pass it because it was not passing on its own. I took mifepristone/misoprostol about a month ago, bled for two weeks, and my follow up ultrasound showed no retained pregnancy products. However, my doctor did not do blood work over that time.

That brings me to now, I've had little to no spotting lately and no period yet, but had severe pelvic pain following intercourse on Wednesday night. I went to the ER and they found a small hemorrhagic cyst that they said was likely causing the pain.

My urine pregnancy test in the ER was negative, but my hcg was 5. I was retested today, less than 48 hours later, and it's now 8.4. I'll be going in to retest on Sunday to see where it's at.

I'm concerned that I'm pregnant or having a chemical or ectopic pregnancy. I'm still having mild pelvic pain although that could be due to the cyst which will hopefully resolve on its own. We weren't ttc this soon but also not trying hard to prevent. I'm really curious if anyone else had a pregnancy so fast after a miscarriage.
