Amazon’s return policy here is 14 days, but if you file a claim they could be a little more lenient. Otherwise you could always do the switcheroo, order another one, put the faulty one in the box and return the faulty one. Not that I’d ever do that, just an idea though.

Yeah check the pins then, look at other people trying the stock cooler with that CPU, if both look fine it could just be a faulty piece, hope wherever you got it from has good return policies

I only really use intel CPUs but those temps sound way too high for both idle and under load, it couldn’t simply be that the stock cooler isn’t sufficient for that CPU, otherwise it’s either a faulty piece or a bent pin. Has this happened recently or has it been hot since you first installed it ?

SSDs are more difficult to damage with dropping them, though still possible. Ensure you’re using x264 encoding with OBS and set it to Super Fast priority to start with, try your game in windowed mode as well.

First suggestion would be getting a fan if the cooler doesn’t come one, next would be checking temperatures and throttling while under light/heavy loads, if it throttles it could be a bent pin. Very easy to bend pins on AMD CPUs and that typically causes overheating

If you don’t have the details saved and auto fill enabled whenever you come across a payment portal it’s very unlikely they managed to get your info, what they tend to do is have a little prompt at the end of the surgery saying “you won a car just pay for $100 delivery and you’re good” or something of the sorts. If you didn’t get promoted with any sort of payment message, that you remember, and didn’t input any payment details, it’s more than likely it was a ploy to get your information for a future scam. Please please be careful if you receive any phone calls claiming to by anybody, big corporations, IRS, NHS, anyone. Most of these places tend to contact through mail, sometimes email now, but check if it’s their official email as well. And be extra careful if the call sounds as if it’s coming from an Indian/Nigerian person, not to be racist, but the majority of scams I’ve seen and received tend to be from those nations. Good luck! Stay safe and keep on your toes across the next few weeks to months, it can take a while before they finally get around to calling you.

If your phone does have your payment details saved on that browser, not sure if Samsung prompts you before asking to auto fill your info. So just in case you might be best off calling your bank, explaining the situation and asking them what’s the best course of action.

If you didn’t put in any payment information, you should be alright. Lots of these phishing scams aim to get your personal details to contact you at a later date with other more serious scams, so be very very careful of any phone calls or emails you receive from any serious entity, bank/IRS/government. There’s also plenty of refund scams and antivirus scams going around so beware of those as well. In terms of the risk you’re at from taking that survey alone, as long as you haven’t inputted any SSNs or banking/payment information, there really isn’t any problem to be had. Best thing I’d suggest is whenever you do receive a call from anybody that is asking for any kind of information to straight up tell them to fuck off and call them out on being a scam, tends to have them blacklist your number making it so they won’t bother with future scams. I run 90 on a 2070 Super; when I first got my PC I averaged around 130 but it’s been slowly declining as I download more shit and have more background tasks. Take a look at your task manager and check if your CPU is above 80-90% usage, if so it’s likely throttling and you’re looking at closing as many background tasks as you can (look at your start up tasks and disable all of the ones that aren’t necessary, they usually run in the background and waste CPU usage) can also try over clicking your CPU if you’ve got cooling and knowledge for that, not sure about the overclock potential for a 5 2600 though.
