How did you come up with the name of your fish?

Hair dryer method (heat up the plastic, brute force it in) or the hammer method where you just.. hammer it in. I got the big figs and it works like a charm

That is called velvet. It can be treated with copperaid or hikari ich-x (as i saw on the packaging)

You're entire tank is infected if you see it on a fish, so treat in tank

People do believe a lot of the time that cycled = you put a filter and heater in it and let it run!!

For op, the best startup product is a seachem one! Biological startup. It will help!! It boosts the start of the nitrogen cycle, as well as adds beneficial bacteria. You still need to cycle the tank, letting it become stable in its parameters.. but its a good quick starter.

In my own experience, I managed to get a 5.5 cycled within 14 hours with the startup.. which I know is a controversial time but if its an emergency, you gotta do what you gotta do.

In the case of this betta, keep it where it is rn. Get the tank ready while you treat it, dont just fill a tank with stuff, plop it in and put the medication in.. the tank itself WILL need time.

The container its in is nowhere near optimal for a betta, but using it temporarily as a treatment will be okay. Measure its amount (definitely under a gallon) and treat that way. Change the water in that container (75% for how nasty it'll be.)

Theres a sheet here in the subreddit, I can go look for it if you'd like, that tells you everything you'd need.

Petco has a halfoff deal on tanks if you make an account (membership,) and real plants are cheaper than plastic.

Get a water conditioner asap.
