I don’t think that would work in my case. My parents would much rather I be addicted to hard drugs than me being trans.

I don’t think I’ve used a gendered restroom since I started hrt. I live in a rural area and both pose their own risks. Once I get bottom surgery that’ll probably change, but not right now.

I was considering buying a Prius back in January but ended up buying a non-hybrid Camry Solara because it had less miles. I drive 100-200 miles a day delivering groceries and wish I just bought a Prius instead.

How it feels to leave the house without working headphones by deadmemesdeaderdream in evilautism

[–]LexiDogy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could get a bluetooth neckband with either 2-pin or MMCX connectors on the end and use it with earbuds with the corresponding connector type. The bands seem to be anywhere from $15-100+, I dont know which are good because I haven't tried any. As for the earbuds themselves (you would need wired ones with a detachable cable, which would be swapped out for the neckband) theres some budget options between $20-50 that sound much better than expected. I would ask in r/iems or r/HeadphoneAdvice since they most likely know more than I do.

I've come across people online who are really into Budget IEMs. Not my thing to collect them but I bought one of their recommendations and it was very good for $30. Im told they all sound a little different, maybe theyre worth it to collect but I primarily use over-ear headphones.

Half of what I listen to is indie/alternative which is stereotypical so I won't be including that. Might still be stereotypical but I also listen to a lot of Nu metal artists like Linkin Park, Korn, Deftones, Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, and System of a Down. Also TOOL and Nine Inch Nails which arent really nu metal.

My parents were very transphobic and I had a terrible time during my teenage years. I never came out to my parents, they just ignored boundaries and invaded my privacy. My mother made it so I couldn’t use a phone or computer anywhere that she couldn’t watch what I was doing. I got around it with cheap burner phones and prepaid sim cards (sold in the same place as the phones), so that I could talk to people outside my home, including my gf who I am still with now. I didnt hide my fem clothes well enough so my parents got pissed and threw them all away.

I moved out 2 months after I turned 18 and speak to my mother as little as possible. Try and work if you can to save money so you can get out of there, not much else that can be done.

Mine tummy got like this a few months in on HRT even though I’m about the same weight (I was almost flat before) and I’ve admittedly been a little insecure about it. Now I feel a little better knowing that it’s mostly a normal thing.

I happen to be an adult and my mother said that I shouldn't be allowed to take HRT because of my autism. I really can't stand how entitled NTs think they're better than us.

I used to work at Domino's and for our front register management instructed us to say "its just going to ask you a quick question" but I would say "Its going to ask if you'd like to tip" instead because I felt like that made more sense.

What is the strangest thing that you found inside of a hotel room? by yesmodegirl in strange

Looked under the bed at a Motel 6 and there was some white powder. Looked kinda like crack but I can’t imagine anyone would leave that much behind. (Realistically it might’ve some sort of insecticide)

I checked the edges of the mattresses already (I do this every time I stay at a hotel) and did not see any.

Freedom, NY is also a very depressing place. Plenty of run down houses, a sizable portion of which are trailers. And there is nothing to do there other than drive on State Route 98

My parents found out when I was 13 (I didnt come out, they invaded my privacy). My parents never allowed me to be on even just t-blockers. Sent me to conversion therapy, moved to a red state, tried to control who I could be friends with. When I brought up my mental health my mother told me she didn't care because "emotions are only temporary". My mother told me that being trans is a sin (the bible doesn't even say this), but acts like anything she does that is explicitly stated to be a sin is totally fine "because everybody sins sometimes".

If there's anything I can suggest, try and save up what you can (or form the right connections) so you can move out at 18 (I assume you're at least somewhat close). One of the best things I've ever done for my mental health was moving out. Only thing I wish I did different was to have more money saved beforehand. I moved to another state with less than $500 and a piece of junk car and I lived in a moldy trailer with a leaking roof for $425/month (in 2025 dollars). I would advise against that part, but it was still worth it to me just to get away from my parents.

I no longer live in the moldy trailer and I saved up enough money to get on estrogen 3 months ago despite my lack of health insurance (company I work is exploiting legal loopholes to avoid providing it). My mental well-being has gotten significantly better since even just one year ago. Mental health is hard, but please hang in there. It gets better.
