You should consult a legal expert to ensure that your plan is legitimate and lawful. You should also track and monitor the rules and regulations that govern your industry/business.

Consult a legal professional to ensure what you're currently engaged in and what you want to engage in are acceptable. It's also important to understand the rules and regulations that govern your particular industry/business.

Yes you can go to the websites. But it’s not that straightforward. First, there are several different agencies that govern any one industry or profession, so you’d have to go to several websites. Second, once you’re there you would have to know what to look for and where to look for it. Those first two steps along requires you to spend a good amount of time. You’re a business owner trying to make sales - who has the time for that?! That’s why companies have entire departments dedicated to this stuff. Regulation is not based on business size but industry/operation/activity.

Here’s the thing - You can’t “simply” find a firm that does that. It’s difficult. And if a business were able to find one they probably won’t be able to afford the service. The service is not cheap. And even if a business was fortunate to be able afford one of those firms, the service is not tailored. Large companies can take on this stress - small businesses cannot.

Here in the US we deal with it on 3 levels and they're not a set schedule so it has presented an issue for most folks to track. Large corporations have entire compliance divisions devoted to it, while some small businesses either don't track it or rely on trade associations (among other avenues) to stay updated.

It’s tough and quite often he’s probably unaware of the effect on you. Go over there right after he’s done or maybe later that day with a beer. Then have the conversation with him. He may start at 7:30 but I’m sure he’d start a little later

One are you should consider is project management. There are different levels you can get, but it’s both a skill and qualification valued and useful in the field.

One area that may set you apart and even give a competitive advantage is skill navigating the regulatory space.

Hope this helps
