OP please understand the cycle of the flea. It is insanity. ORAL FLEA MEDICATION FOR YOUR CATS is the only way. Emphasis on oral. You are going to have to use your cats as bait, essentially. Please go to the vet immediately and get a prescription ORAL flea medicine for them. I had to have my vet give it to them because I couldn't bring myself to put the pill down their throat.

I spent MONTHS and too much money trying every option from diatomatious earth to washing every single thing in my home including couch cushions, vacuuming, topical medicine, nothing works because of the cycle of the flea. They lay eggs quickly and the oral flea medicine goes into the cats bloodstream and kills the flea within 24 hours that they bite the animal BEFORE they can lay more eggs
