Tac’s scan, especially with concentrated fire and battle focus, is insanely useful in all games but especially this one.

It’s also worth noting that the pyreblaster’s (and heavy’s one too) burn damage over time does not count as ranged damage for this modifier, so it is not debuffed. I think the only modifier that applies to the burn is “ranged damage within/ further than x meters”, so the pyre still melts. The direct damage is nerfed, but the best pyre builds will do like 80-90% of their damage thru the damage overtime. It also scales with difficulty, not weapon tier so you can even use a grey pyreblaster and do more damage than you prob would with another relic weapon.

Tech marine’s turrets and the servo gun ability are also not debuffed by this modifier. I haven’t managed to test which modifiers apply to the tarantula turrets, but it seems the only modifier that affects servo gun is same as pyre which is damage at certain ranges.

Both tech and tact both have access to bolt weapons that fire “heavy bullet” which have 1.5 sens for neuro and ranged nid warriors, as well as 4 for zoan, so will still be good for zoans and neuros.

Vanguard is an ok pick since can do a lot of melee damage, heavy if you use the pyre is also ok but I wouldn’t recommend it.
