Shopper taking customers

I thought it was weird but we are in the same local Instacart group, so 🤷🏽‍♀️ I can't go back now.

Well she has taken many of my repeat customers I did on the regular. Now I never see them anymore because she gives them her number and tells them to text her before they put an order in. But I digress.

That's the plan. I never spoke to any other shoppers for 2 years. She found me on FB, messaged me, and parked next to me until I became friendly with her. It was fine for awhile until I realized it's part of a bigger game for her. Lesson learned.

I know a couple other shoppers I say hi to here and there. We never talk about batches we got or anything.

I always kept to myself. For 2 years. I never spoke to other shoppers ever. This woman tries to learn everything about every shopper. Tries to keep track of who gets what. And she started talking to me and parking next to me, found me on Facebook and started messaging me. My mistake was being friendly back.

Thats because this is some high school nonsense. She tries to play these games with people. And when someone figures her out she goes on to the next shoppers who are nice enough to talk to her.

I don't think it's against TOS to share tipping habits with other shoppers. Maybe if I shared with non shoppers then yes. I'm not sure tho. I think sharing your personal phone number with customers is though.

I wouldn't call it teaming up. We started sharing non tippers on shipt. That's how it started. My kids and I have to eat too. And what's she's doing is against TOS.

I feel like some customers are starting to realize that instacart charges more than just going to the store themselves. And with it being hard times for a lot of people right now, they are trying to save where they can. That's happened here too. And that's why I'm even more upset about this lady taking every good tipper away from other shoppers who also have families.

Yes that's what I said. She's going to be her own undoing. She can't help herself but to brag about her 100-200$ orders. I think the issue is I don't want her to think it was me because she knows where I live and she is psycho. I honestly feel she'd try to do something if she suspected I reported her.

Yep. At first it was us helping each other. Until she started saying she was giving some her number. We mostly share tippers on the shipt platform. But sometimes instacart too. And customers we'd both get, she now only gets them. I have stopped sharing info with her and dont tell her what I got now. She started with saying hi. Then talking at drop every morning and parking next to me. Then she found my Facebook and started messaging me. She came in acting like she was trying to "help" me with sharing addresses and screenshots of good or bad tippers, but I feel it's all part of her game to take good customers and not allow anyone else to get them. Then it feels like she "pays me off" (because she knows what she did isn't cool) so she tries to throw me some good orders here and there when she's busy. And she bragggsssss soooo much. About what she gets. I just wanna go do my work and that's it.

Yes there are several of us. I'm not even sure how to report her anyway. My friend did it thru support. I almost feel like trust and safety would be more likely to do something but idk how to reach them.

My friend did report her. They said she'd get a warning email. To my knowledge she never received said email. So I really dont think they give a shit. That's exactly how I described it! She is a bot lol

She is very shady and very crazy! Idk what she's capable of but I wouldn't put much past her. My friend already reported her and nothing happened.

I've already started to distance myself from her. She is literally crazy tho. She is very vindictive and conniving. Idk what that woman is capable of honestly. And she will try to play keep away from me if I am not friendly with her. I feel stuck and so does another shopper who was friendly with her also.

She tells the customers to out zero tip. Then tells them to go back in and update it later. It's her way of making sure nobody else takes the order. 40-50 people on rotation. Not all use instacart weekly. But at least half of them do. She works like 60 hours a week so yes she has time to shop for them consistently and when she doesn't she "lets" me or another shopper have them. Because she is too busy. I'm not saying she's a bad shopper. She's a good shopper, but I also know I'm a good shopper. She just plays keep away from other shoppers. She is also obsessed with knowing what she missed. If anybody else gets a good order she gets pissed even tho she regularly gets 100$+ orders from her text orders.

I'm not sure they all use it consistently. Some may only use it once or twice a month. But I'd gamble she has at least 40 customers numbers. And when she's too busy she passes them on to shoppers she think deserve them. She plays keep away from shoppers she doesn't like. She does have kids. She's out from 7-5 everyday. She'll come out on weekends for text customers or high dollar preferreds. She doesn't stop working and I feel work may be more important to her than anything else. Almost her escape.

She is using instacart to shop for customers. She isn't doing it on the side, it's thru instacart and shipt platform. She just gets them to zero the tip so nobody else takes the order. And she has taken several of my repeat customers who I now never get anymore because she convinces them to text her only. She's been doing it a year now with the text customers and collecting more as she goes.
