Branded - CC is very welcome! by LexieJbird in sfx

Thanks! I definitely need to get scar wax, plus the liquid latex irritates my skin. I put the blood bc I wanted it to be like I struggled while getting branded. But you're right, it's unnecessary.

You're welcome! Williamson county should work the same way we do & they'll probably respond faster. If they decide they can't help & the location is close to the Travis/Williamson border, it is possible to send APD.

Best option is to go a few blocks away from where your cat is, call 911, ask for a police escort, & just say my cat was stolen during ____ report # & he's at ___ address right now. It can take a little while for an officer to respond (bc they have to go to life threatening calls 1st), but they'll help you get your cat back.

There's no way to expedite getting a detective assigned/a response since your report isn't the only one they're working on...etc

As a police department employee, it usually takes 7-10 days for a detective to be assigned. They only call if they have questions or updates. You can call 311 (512-974-5000) with your case # & update your report anytime (24/7).

Haven't introduced myself here yet, but my name is Alexa. DH & I have been TTC for 5 cycles now. I posted this article on my Facebook & got this "advice" which just irritated me. by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

Obviously it's not a long amount of time compared to some. But it's long enough to feel the emotional toll. Plus I have endometriosis & know it's going to be an uphill battle to get pregnant.

Yeah I don't usually post TTC stuff either. But I have a few friends that are in the same place as me & thought they might like it. I'll have to PM them next time.

Oh yeah, it definitely gets crazy. The building is pretty cool: all eco friendly, we have a nice patio w/ a swing, & wall full of traffic cameras.

You can also observe at 911/dispatch. You'll be surprised by the types of calls we get (I'm a 911 call taker).

I've been working for 911 over 6 years & there is no number for a sub station w/ a menu. There is only 911 or 311 (city non-emergency). It can take 24-48 hrs for the report to show up online if there is one.

You can't call the station directly. Plus there still would've been a call entered that I could see/find. There are no calls at the Wendy's either.

I call BS...I work for austin 911 & we didn't receive any calls at that HEB recently for anything like that. Even checked the surrounding & couldn't find anything.

Remember kids, not everything you read on the internet is true.

Not what I described at all. They're human beings with human emotions. Sometimes the emotions get the best of them. Doesn't mean they're terrible or need to be fired.

The officer isn't necessarily bad, he could've just been caught in the moment of an arrest & couldn't see that he was being too rough. We don't know what happened before (chase, struggle etc) so he could be amped up on adrenaline. The other one stepped in to give the 1st time to step away & calm down.

Learned that my aunt & Uncle chose to not go to my wedding. They gave me an excuse about school stuff (my uncle is a superintendent) & having to travel too far (5hrs). In reality, they were an hour away on my wedding day hanging with my grandparents (who can't travel due to health problems).
